I love the playoffs

I’ve loved the NFL playoffs since I was 6 years old. It’s like Christmas without the tree. It’s like a birthday without the cake. Except Mrs. Holmes made a cake yesterday, so, I guess it’s like a birthday with a cake, though it’s nobody’s birthday. Well anyway…

This weekend’s playoff picks:

St. Louis Rams 27 Seattle 19
Let’s face it, the Seahawks are never going to get it done – especially not this season.

San Diego Chargers 30 NY Jets 17
Chad’s arm is broke. Somebody call a doctor.

Indianapolis Colts 33 Denver Broncos 21
As long as Jake Plummer looks like a filthy hippie who should be following Phish around smothered in patchouli, I can’t root for the Broncos.

Green Bay Packers 28 Minnesota Vikings 24
Brett still has one left, but it may be the last.

So there you go. Call your bookies. I’ve spoken, and as always, that’s the last word.

   Those picks look pretty good, but I have a feeling about Denver. They might just break Peyton’s heart this weekend. It’s a long shot I know, but it would be interesting because they’ll never make it past the wildcard round no matter what.

   I don’t think so Froggy. They’re playing in the dome and, while they won’t get embarrassed like they did last year, they won’t get out of there with a win. They may lose some hubcaps too.

   As for Indy, I have Manning in my playoff fantasy leaque…he better win!!! And score me lots of points…
