But don’t question their patriotism

January 24th, 2005 at 1:39 pm by Preston Taylor Holmes

Just in case you buy into the lie that hardcore liberals really care about our fighting men and women – if you swallow the tripe that they support the troops, this little reminder may help remind you of the truth about their lies.

The photo above is of Sgt. 1st Class Jeff Due, right, a U.S. Army recruiter, surrounded by protesters at Seattle Central Community College last Thursday. These pants-shitting halfwits harrassed Sgt. Due for about 10 minutes, peacefully shouting at him and lovingly tearing up his materials, in the name of peace. Due and his partner had to be escorted out by security, because sometimes peaceful protesters have to turn violent in the name of peace.

Brad R. Torgersen at Pool of Thought says it as well as I ever could:

Don’t Seattle liberals care about the troops? Aren’t they always crying about how Bush is sending us to die in his unjust war? Don’t they always blame Bush for not having enough soldiers to do the job? Aren’t they always wailing and shedding a tear for the fallen? How full of shit do they all seem when, given the chance to interact with a bona fide soldier, they turn on him like a school of sharks who’ve just had a side of beef thrown into the water.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, these people don’t give a rat’s ass about the troops. They don’t care about us in the slightest, beyond the fact that we have become a convenient excuse to attack Bush. In truth, they hate the troops. Just like the 60’s radicals hated the troops. It’s the same old crap as during Vietnam: blame the men and women in uniform for decisions that they have absolutely no control over.

Do I have permission to question their patriotism now, Old Media?

look, I say any school that feels the need to get rid of any recruiters may do so at any time. all they have to do is stop getting federal funding. that’s fair, isn’t it?
