Which President Junior did I vote for?

February 8th, 2005 at 1:28 pm by Preston Taylor Holmes

I hired this guy to add fairness to the tax code, not to brag about making it more progressive.

The White House budget director Josh Bolten on Monday bragged to reporters how the nation most-wealthy will see an increase in tax burden under Bush’s new budget.

“If you look at the president’s tax cuts as a totality, the income tax, those at the upper end of the spectrum are now paying a larger share of the income tax than they were before,” Bolten explained.

“An example, the top 5 percent in income in this country — that’s people making above about $140,000 — without the president’s tax cuts that top 5 percent would be paying about less than 52 percent of our total income tax revenue.

“After the president’s tax cut that group is paying more than 54 percent of our total tax revenue. So the notion that the president’s tax cuts have somehow made the code less progressive is wrong. The president’s tax cuts have made the tax code more progressive.”

If I wanted to soak the rich even more, I would have voted for this guy , or even worse, this guy .

I suppose since he is allegedly making actual cuts in the budget, I’m supposed to be impressed with his newfound conservatism?

I’m so sick of phony conservatives, I could vomit out my nose and mouth.

I don’t think you would have voted for Sharpton. That’s just the vomit in your brain talking.

The rich shouldn’t be punished for being more successful. They should be rewarded, like getting free homeless people to use as footstools and to feed their pet tigers.

It is pretty sad that there is no longer a “fiscally conservative” party.

LOL…out your mouth AND nose. That’s the worst kind of vomit.

Like the picture concept. Blogging with pictures…nice.

After giving those comments a little more thought, I think he might be actually making the case for supply-side tax cuts. We have always argued and were proven right in the Reagan years that if you cut taxes on the top wage earners, you would actually bring in more revenue from them. Notice he was talking more about tax revenue, rather than a tax rate. Democrats want to “soak the rich” for political purposes but as we all know the best way to get more revenue from the rich is to lower their taxes and grow the economy. The richer they get, the more actual dollars they pay in. I still don’t take back what I said about the Republicans. They definitely are not a fiscally conservative party anymore.

Well you voted for him, he’s a liar and Jeff Gannon will soon be telling us all about his connection to this junior. Believe me it will make your White Trash series…
