Maw gonna use eBay to sue them school people

February 9th, 2005 at 11:15 am by Preston Taylor Holmes

Mom uses eBay to raise funds for an attorney so that she can sue the Knox County school system over their bathroom policy.

The mother of a Farragut High School freshman is seeking donations on eBay for an attorney after her daughter was not permitted to leave English class to go to the bathroom.

Christin Disler’s daughter, Ashley Johnson, was given three detentions in mid-December, following a verbal spat with a teacher. Now, Disler wants visitors to the popular online auction site to donate $5 each so she can battle Knox County school officials in court.

Disler and school officials agree that teacher Stephanie Rasmussen denied Johnson’s multiple requests to use the rest room one day and that Johnson finally left class anyway. But they disagree about whether the student “created a scene,” as Rasmussen indicated on the official misconduct report given to the News Sentinel by Disler.

“Ashley created a scene in class today by insisting that I let her leave for the bathroom,” Rasmussen wrote about the Dec. 14 incident. “My answer was no (multiple times) and each time she became more insistent and disrespectful.

“I told her not to leave and that I would have to write this. She said ‘Go ahead’ and walked out at 3:18.”

Ashley’s maw says that “she can’t control when she has to go.” At face value, perhaps this would be enough of an argument to say that the school’s policy is unreasonable. However, it looks like there’s a history between Ashley and the teacher in question that may suggest that this was more of a pissing contest than a bathroom issue. I’ll also wager that this is not the first time Ashley has “created a scene”.

All this aside, what is more White Trash than filing a frivolous lawsuit? That’s right up there on the top ten list of White Trash behavior.

To add insult to injury, suing the school system is as counter-productive as frivolous lawsuits get. When you hear people bitching about how our school systems “don’t have enough money,” you may want to consider the fact that many school systems are constantly fighting lawsuits from jackasses like this, which diverts resources that could be better used teaching little Ashley how to read something more complex than Ziggy.

Two things – one, if it hasn’t already this auction will be kicked off ebay. You can’t auction for donations. It’s an ebay rule, but the ‘ol white trash mama probably doesn’t know what ‘rules’ are.

And two – if the kid can’t control when she goes, which means she can’t hold it, there would have been no discussion as she would have pissed her pants in school. Give the loser some depends and kick these turds back to the trailer park.

In the unspoken rules of bloggersville, it is extremely uncouth and trashy to take the money of your advertisers and spring forth unto the proverbial run shortly thereafter. Even trashier is to bleg for donation money to support your…

I suggest she just piss her pants. Or carry around an empty soda bottle. I think either way that would continue to keep her within the White Trash Hall of Fame.

Good advice WSK. But I think it’s the mom that’s the real culprit in this story, but it’s hard to tell.
