Yemeni Clampdown
July 7th, 2005 at 12:00 pm by Preston Taylor HolmesThe Yemeni Government (ruled essentially by hard-core Jihadis) is continuing to shut down the free press in that country. You may remember Abdul-Karim Al-Khaiwani, the journalist who was thankfully released from prison due to public pressure generated in part by a certain docile pupil of a monkey monk.
According to The Incognito Blog, it seems that Al-Shoura, Al-Khaiwani’s paper, has been taken over and he is receiving death threats from Jihadis in and out of government. More public pressure may be needed to get them off his back.
The Incognito Blog has a way you can help by pressuring the Yemeni government (as well as U.S. officials) by sending e-mails supporting Al-Khaiwani & Al-Shoura. Check out the details here.
Also, you can click here to launch an e-mail yourself – the link includes the e-mails on your behalf.
