One Possible Terrorist Arrested in London Attacks
July 12th, 2005 at 1:09 pm by Preston Taylor HolmesFox News: Investigation moving at “great speed” according to authorities.
“We are trying to establish if they all died in the explosions,” said Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, the head of the Metropolitan Police department’s anti-terror unit, said in a Scotland Yard press conference Tuesday. He said one arrest had been made in the investigation.
There is word that all four explosions might have been the work of homicide bombers. I had read last week that there were timers found with the explosives that never went off, leading many – including myself – to assume that last Thursday’s transportation scheduling inconvenience was not the work of homicide bombers.
I do hope that the bombers were blown up as well. That will save us from a bunch of liberal bellyaching and demands for a “fair trial”. And that would piss me off.
Speaking of the Religion of Peace™, one of their valedictorians blew himself up in an Israeli mall today, killing two teens.
About 30 people were wounded, two seriously, police said.
Police said they believe there is a link between the attack near the mall and an apparent car bomb explosion some 30 minutes earlier in the Jewish settlement of Shavei Shomron in the West Bank, near Netanya. Police said they have a suspect in the car bombing in custody, and that he belongs to Islamic Jihad.
I’m sure the homicide bomber’s parents are beaming with pride. Unfortunately, they won’t be receiving their check from Saddam Hussein, as he is currently locked up in Abu Ghraib eating bags and bags of Doritios™ Brand Corn Chips and writing poetry.

The BBC reported last week that it was suspected that a newly released GITMO detainee was in on the bombing, but now I can’t find that piece anywhere. That would make for some interesting news.

Mayor, I saw that on several blogs last week – including Ace’s place and the Jawa Hut, but everywhere I read it, it was heavily labeled: RUMOR ALERT. So, until something legit pops up, it’s just wishful thinking, I guess.
