Cindy Sheehan, Drooling Dingbat
August 15th, 2005 at 9:59 am by Preston Taylor Holmes
And according to Phil Hendrie, ignorant cow. Sounds about right to me. Why am I not surprised that she is now a columnist at the Huffington Post?
Her latest (not) column at the Post is truly inspiring:
She’s really letting it hang out these days. She’s even admitting other ways she’s used her son’s death to her advantage!
To be honest, I haven’t been following the Sheehan story much until this weekend. When I saw how the Old Media was propping her up as their own personal Christ figure – AND that she had completely changed her story after meeting with President Bush initially – I decided it wasn’t worth tuning in. Now that she’s completely exposed herself as a raving, drooling idiot, it’s much more entertaining.
Her follow-up letter to the President shortly after the election in November of 2004 provided a window into her descent into moonbat madness, where she failed to “re-defeat Bush”. (via Realclearpolitics)
There’s much more in her letter – it’s worth reading the whole thing to give you an idea of her lack of mental capacity and general vileness.
All the right-wing pundits have been bending over backwards to be overly tender with her, considering that she did lose her son in the war, which is understandable. She has now forfeited that consideration with her recent Crawford antics and her “Israel out of Palestine” nitwittery over the weekend.
Anti-war protestor Cindy Sheehan, whose soldier son Casey was killed in Iraq, is calling for Bush’s “impeachment,” and for Israel to get out of Palestine!
“You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you’ll stop the terrorism,” Sheehan declares.
Sheehan, who is asking for a second meeting with President Bush, says defiantly: “My son was killed in 2004. I am not paying my taxes for 2004. You killed my son, George Bush, and I don’t owe you a penny…you give my son back and I’ll pay my taxes. Come after me (for back taxes) and we’ll put this war on trial.”
“And now I’m going to use another ‘I’ word – impeachment – because we cannot have these people pardoned. They need to be tried on war crimes and go to jail.”
So now we know that Cindy is a braindead sockpuppet for the Moore-ons of the left, parroting their tired anti-American, anti-Semitic cliches with the ferocity of Courtney Love at a crackhouse. Cindy has been given more than the benefit of the doubt and it’s nice to see that we can now push that courtesy out of the way and tell it like it is. Additionally, since Cindy has come out and declared her intention not to “pay her taxes” – as if the taxes she would contribute during her extended unemployment would benefit the federal checking account – the IRS should go ahead and begin the auditing process now.
It’s gotten to the point that even her own family has denounced her with this public statement.
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son’s good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan’s grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
I feel for her family most of all – they’ve lost a loved-one in the war and now they have to sit back and watch the Old Media lick Cindy’s boots and have their good name dragged through the mud in front of the entire country. That’s got to be more than a little maddening. Actually, I have some high profile moonbat relatives of my own, so I have a fraction of an idea of what it’s like, but nothing like what they’re going through.
Plenty of folks in the sphere have been on this story all week and Annika has cut to the chase nicely:
So i’m not going to tip-toe around the subject of Mrs. Sheehan just because of her son’s sacrifice in a noble cause that i believe will keep me safe. No, Mrs. Sheehan is deluded and as long as she’s helping the enemy, whether intentionally or not, to her i say Fuck You.
Sheehan wants to know what the “noble cause” is that her son died for. i wonder where the American spirit went, which was articulated so well by Robert Kennedy when he said: “Some people see things as they are and say why? I dream things that never were and say why not?”
The noble cause is a free, democratic and prosperous Iraq. That’s the thing that never was, and we should all be asking “why not?” If only Sheehan and her fans could put aside their Bush hatred, their shame at being American, and ask themselves: if we could only be successful in Iraq, wouldn’t that be a good thing? And if the answer is yes, shouldn’t we all do whatever it takes to achieve that goal?
Cindy even has the David Duke seal of approval! That’s something of which to be truly proud. I guess when the common cause is pushing the Jews into the ocean, all of the poisonous pundits can come together as one.
Cindy, do your family a favor and crawl back under your rock. Better yet, get a job. That way, when you threaten “not to pay your taxes”, that might actually mean something.

Thanks darling. I have learned something about myself today: Reading about Cindy Sheehan totally kills my sex drive.
Chick has simply lost her mind. I think any further discussion about her is akin to making fun of the kid on the playground with Down’s Syndrome. She’s too easy of a target now.

You know me, Feisty. I don’t like moving targets.
Disclaimer: I never made fun of the Downs kid on the playground.

This is absolutely brilliant. It may be your best ever.

I wonder what she would do if we all showed up on her fucking porch demanding she talk to us and explain her rabid case of fucktardism.
August 15th, 2005 at 11:05 pm
You wouldn’t really want to talk to her in person would you? And certainly not face-to-face. Ugh. She might bludgeon you with her bloody peace dove.

Great roundup of Sheehan lunacy! MajorDad also pointed out that her son enlisted FIVE months AFTER the Iraq war started. Wonder what she has to say about that. I *really* hope that she sees that letter from Iraq the Model!

Ya’ll shouldn’t be so disrespectful in talking about somebody’s mother that way.
Oh wait. Nevermind.

what does dingbat meat taste like?
You know what’s great about political blogs? They’re like pornography for policy wonks. You’d never be caught dead subscribing to a porn magazine, but admit it, you’ve clicked on porn’s ubiquitous links when you knew that no one would ever

In order to help the debate over Cindy Sheehan to move forward, I’ve agreed to moderate a debate between right-wing hack Michelle Malkin and conservative apologist Michelle Malkin.
Michelle, we’ll start with you. What do you think of the protest by Cindy Sheehan outside of the President’s Crawford ranch? She says that she wants to know the “noble cause” for which her son died :
I can’t imagine that Casey Sheehan would approve of such behavior, conduct, and rhetoric.
Uh-oh. Michelle, you’re shaking your head over there and flipping back to your notes from last year’s Presidential debates. Would you like to respond to what Michelle said?
John Kerry stooped to the lowest of the low with the shameless, invasive line that will be played over and over again on the news in the next 24 hours. . .Um, has John Kerry talked to Dick Cheney’s daughter? Has John Edwards? Has Mary Beth Cahill, who called Mary Cheney “fair game” on Fox News Channel after tonight’s debate? If they haven’t talked to her, they should shut up.
Ouch. Tough words from Ms. Malkin.
Now going back to you, Michelle. You recently had some harsh words in response to the rumors that the New York Times was looking into the adoption records of Supreme Court Nominee John Roberts. So you think someone’s personal life is off-limits?
I think it’s the journalistic equivalent of dumpster-diving, Steve. And I think there’s no excuse for it. There’s no defense for it and the New York Times should apologize for it.
The name’s Greg, but I see your point. On the same subject, I’m going to pass this one to you Michelle. Michelle has taken a pretty firm stand against digging into personal records, but you recently printed Cindy Sheehan’s divorce records on your own site. Where do you stand on that?
Like it or not, the dispute between Cindy Sheehan and some of her family members is news.
Interesting point she’s got there. Do you have anything to add, Michelle?
What could possibly be gleamed from the adoption records of four and five year old children of a Supreme Court nominee whose professional and personal lives have been beyond reproach? This is what the New York Times has sunk to? Investigative opposition research of pre-schoolers? It’s pathetic.
Okay, so you both seem to disagree on whether digging into someone’s personal life is fair game, but to take this back to the Cindy Sheehan case, where do you think what do you think about the attacks she’s received by people on the right?
Well, I do want to emphasize what you said, Bill, which is that losing a child in any situation, whether it’s in a war, from an accident or disease, is one of the most painful of human experiences. And Mrs. Sheehan deserves compassion and sympathy.
And apparently, according to the accounts from last year when President Bush met with her, that’s exactly what she got. I don’t think that anybody should demonize her.
Well put, Michelle, even if you did get my name wrong again. Do you have anything to add to that Ms. Malkin?
Mrs. Sheehan, as they say, seems to “have issues.”
Now Michelle, you recently printed a reference to Sheehan’s supporters as “grief pimps”. Michelle, would you like to add anything to Michelle’s contention that there’s something exploitational about these activists joining grieving family members?
One of the pro-abortion Left’s favorite attacks on people of faith is that we only care about children before they’re born and not afterwards.
Perhaps this is why the mainstream media has ignored the amazing stories of pro-life activists who have been keeping vigil outside Terri Schiavo’s hospice–people like Steve and Tony Sakac, the Withey family, and the Anderson sisters who won’t ever appear on the front page of the New York Times or Washington Post.
. . .
For millions of Americans of faith of all ages, standing up for the sanctity of life is not just an empty slogan–but a deeply-held principle put into action daily. The MSM had ample opportunity to tell the stories of some of the inspiring people who have stood vigil outside Terri Schiavo’s hospice. Instead, as they have done throughout this ordeal, they looked the other way.
And we’ll have to end it there ladies. I want to thank you both for joining us and though you didn’t seem to agree on much, I hope this debate has helped inform our readership by presenting both sides of what’s happening down there in Crawford.

You know, Ah-che, with creativity like that you should really have your own blog.
But I do need to tell you that Michelle Malkin doesn’t want anything to do with 6MB, so attacking her here probably won’t have much impact. Though it was entertaining.

Mr.
MadisonAh-, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.August 16th, 2005 at 8:44 pm
You might want to check out Link for “miracles” associated with Ms. Sheehan.
And 6MB is one of my favorite blogs, so there Michelle!

Cindy Sheehan is dishonoring her son Casey in several ways. One way she dishonors him is by omitting what his own views on the Iraq war was and synthesizing her own personal views with his. I find it strange that she says her son was against the war in Iraq, but yet Casey Sheehen reenlisted in the army of his own volition, that just doesn’t comport with Cindy Sheehan’s statements. This is a 100 % volunteer military, there is no conscription and that begs the question as to why Casey Sheehan reenlisted in a war he opposed, if that is even true. If perhaps Casey Sheehan disagreed with certain aspects of the war in Iraq e.g..he felt maybe we needed more troops in Iraq, or more armor on humvee’s or better food for the troops etc., then that should be explained by Cindy Sheehan without the partisan hyperbole. A person can complain about particular conditions in Iraq without opposing the entire war in Iraq you know. During another interview on national television Cindy Sheehan stated that her son was killed by friendly fire, when she was pressed about that statement she then said well I have speculative evidence that he was killed by friendly fire. It’s amazing that anyone could use the words speculative and evidence in the same sentence side by side and keep a straight face. Evidence substantiates an allegation, speculation is just the opposite it requires no evidence at all,to use “speculative evidence together is a perfect example of an oxymoron. The real truth of Casey Sheehan’s death is he was killed by hostile fire in Sadr City, this was the consistent report of his death since day one, medical reports and the reports from fellow soldiers who were present at his death confirm the same fact. Casey Sheehan was a real hero of the first order, when a convoy of soldiers from his unit was attacked in Sadr City he volunteered to join a rescue force to get them out, even after his commanding Sergeant told him he didn’t have to go because he was a mechanic and not an infantryman. Casey was reported telling his officer I go where my chief goes. Thats not a man who didn’t believe in his cause or his duty, thats a hero. Casey Sheehan’s family has released this statement and I quote We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son’s good name and reputation.
