Must be local. Our gas prices here outside of Dallas have only gone up 10 cents in the last two days. I expect them to go up more, but for now, we haven't experienced a gigantic spike.

It's not gouging, per se. Prices jumped up on the basis of speculation. Rather than waiting for the price of wholesale gas to actually go up, the price is being raised on the assumption that it will go up regardless.

But it's neither here not there. I know it will be hard, but you may have to give up your subscription to at least one internets pr0n site to pay for gas.

I'm driving my F-150 Triton V-8 no matter what. I mean, for chrissakes, if I'm willing to spend 35 bucks for a carton of smokes, I sure as hell ain't gonna bitch about 3 buck a gallon gasoline.

And before you make a snide remark, think about the trivial bullshit you're willing to pay for that you don't bitch about. Like worthless Cable TV.

At the Shell station at Lovell Rd. and I-40, I just filled up with diesel in my 84 Benz at $2.759/gal.

There was a receipt from less than an hour ago from an earlier customer on this same pump with regular unleaded at $2.99/gal. When I pulled up and reached for the diesel, it was $3.05/gal.

When I hung the nozzle back up, regular unleaded was $3.09.
