Flood Coverage Takes a Toll on Camp Cindy

September 3rd, 2005 at 4:19 pm by Preston Taylor Holmes

From Sharpy:

Camp Crawford, Tx – As the deluge of tears threatened to wash away the handful of protesters left, Cindy Sheehan spoke of the horrors the recent flood coverage by the media has had on her cause. Wearing a ‘No Flood For Oil’ t-shirt, Sheehan spoke to a throng of two or three journalism students about the aftermath of the recent Katrina coverage.

“It has been awful, Sheehan said, barely able to conceal the pain in her voice. “This morning, I woke up and was going to plant another white cross and privately grieve over the loss of my son, Corey…. or Casey… whatever his name was, and there was only one or two cameramen available to cover my private moment. Then, I turned on MSNBC and CNN, thinking I would be able to watch my daily grief session at least a dozen times before my early afternoon nap, but instead they were covering something else. I’m not sure what it was, but there was a lot of unhappy people so it must have been Bush’s fault. Or the Jews.

Read the whole thing. Damn he’s good.
