Not for me. I’m hoping he nominates Janice Rogers Brown. I had a post over at Nashville files when the Roberts nomination came up and it’s just as true today.
The lynchpin issue for The Left is abortion. It overrides every aspect of every decision they make. Somewhere, a judge who has practiced law all of their life will get tapped on the shoulder for this position. A judge who is respected by their peers, receives qualified ratings from the ABA and lives a decent life.
Just like the Roberts case, they will be depicted as a racist, abortion clinic bombing hatebot programmed to kill by The Federalist Society.

First Thoughts On The Death Of Chief Justice Rehnquist
Smantix at Six Meat Buffet has a concise take on the upcoming months. The Tennessee Liberal and I agree about the upcoming months. Sharon Cobb posts detailed information. I imagine we’re in for a protracted battle. With Bush’s numbers…

I’ll be appearing here until Preston changes the locks. Or brittney puts 6MB back on the blogroll. Or the conversion of the Jews. Whichever comes first.

Why did she take him off? What’s up with that?
September 5th, 2005 at 12:20 pm
Something about he pissed her off and then she found out he was from Knoxville so she deepsixed him.

Glen – I told brittney early on that I had lived in Nashville for quite a while, but had moved to Knoxville. She put me on the blogroll anyway, apparently confused. When I finally pissed her off enough, she dropped me, using the fact that I’m in Knoxville as the reason. It’s not a very good one, considering she has Morristown blog on her blogroll. It’s her place, though, so she makes the rules.
Smantix is here as long as he wants to be. He’s got chops.
Katherine – as soon as Blogrolling comes back up, I’ll add you to the Tennessee blogroll. Thanks for the linkage!

No problem. I also put you on NiT this weekend, since Smantix was posting. I figured that was fair.

Now isn’t Bill Hobbs in Williamson County? He’s even guest-blogged there. Or online magazined or whatever he needs to call it. Aren’t there also a few Murfreesborons and other Brentwoodians? It’s a selective thing, I guess. 80% of the people on it never say shit anyway. And the 20% that do are only interesting about 1/10th of the time.
However, I am so all up in Nashville that if I get any closer, Metro is going to cite me for violating the 3 feet rule.
In happy news, the little ungrateful bastard of Kuwait has pledged $500 Million dollars to Louisiana. Thanks little buddy! Governor Blanco, your burka should arrive on the next hovercraft.

You know I actually moved to Cheatham County recently. I’ll have to try to piss her off and see what happens.
