China To Recruit Women Astronauts
October 18th, 2005 at 2:46 pm by Preston Taylor HolmesAfter their successful jaunt into space last week, the Red Chinese are really feeling their oats. So much so, that they’re talking about recruiting women to be part of the new generation of Communist Space Super Heroes.
The Shenzhou 6 flight ended the first stage of China’s plan, which focused on development of space vehicles, said Tang Xianming, director of the China Space Engineering Office. The next stage focuses on developing ways for astronauts to walk in space and the ability to rendezvous and dock with other spacecraft, he said.
“At present, we do not have women participants among our astronaut candidates,” he said. “But according to our development program and plans for manned space engineering, for the next round of selections, we might consider having some female astronauts.”
An un-named Chinese official (well, actually it was a named official, but I couldn’t get my keyboard to create those funny little characters that spelled out his name) was quoted as being uncharacteristically supportive of the move.
“We figure, if they can get past our roving Red Chinese Abortion Squads as babies, they must be made of some pretty good stuff. Either that or their parents found really good hiding places for them,” the official noted.
“Besides, if we can piece together an all-woman space crew, it will be no loss if a cheaply-built booster rocket ignites, killing them all in a spectacular fireball. As Chinese women, they’re quite expendable, really,” he added.
Besides, what will these women have to contribute to the ever-expanding Red Army?

where the crap are they gonna come from? as far as I can tell, nobody’s had a female kid in China in a decade!

Given that the Chicoms are long-range thinkers, they may possibly be sending some women out of the fire zone for when the testosterone bubble bursts on their little no icky girls allowed party. Gonna be a lot of dead people when the 18-24 demographic figures out why no one has a sister. Either that, or the parades through Tianamen Square will start resembling Atlanta during Gay Pride week.
