Subliminable Messages

At 11:04:45 AM ET Monday CNN was airing Vice President Dick Cheney’s speech live from the American Enterprise Institute in Washington — when a large black ‘X’ repeatedly flashed over the vice president’s face!
The ‘X’ over Cheney’s face appeared each time less than a second, creating an odd subliminal effect.
As this DRUDGE REPORT screen capture reveals, while one ‘X’ flashed over Cheney’s face CNN ran a headline at the bottom of its screen: “CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE.”
Can’t CNN at least pretend to disguise their hatred? I mean…. even just a little?
One side note to the story: whoever caught the “X” screenshot during the Vice President’s appearance missed a couple of other subliminable messages that CNN used during the broadcast.
There was the Family Feud-style X with accompanying buzzer sound during one of Cheney’s remarks:
There was a chickenhawk reference:
A welcome distraction for the male demographic:
Where’s the beef?:
And the inexplicable:
Seems to me that CNN has a hell of a lot to answer for.
