Funny is people who call the US an imperial power when the existence of modern-day Japan is an example of the exact opposite.
64 years ago, an underhanded imperial power sneak attacked our country, brought us into a World War, cruelly tortured and killed any POWs they came across and then when it was all over – in one of the singular greatest acts of Christian forgiveness in human history – the US helped rebuild them into a world power without turning them into a US territory or following the example of Versailles.
