Too Stupid Not To

December 15th, 2005 at 7:55 pm by Smantix

Democrats openly flirting with impeaching Bush is the subject of tonight’s episode of Lovelines. But could our limp dick donkeys even be able to consummate the deed given their embarrassing case of elect-ile dysfunction and long-distance relationship with reality? We’d ask a horsefaced jackass if he’d ever bother to shut up. (h/t to Outside the Beltway):

MA. Sen. John Kerry said last night that if Dems retake the House, there’s a “solid case” to bring “articles of impeachment” against President Bush for allegedly misleading the country about pre-war intelligence, according to several Dems who attended. Kerry was speaking at a holiday party for alumni of his WH ’04 bid.

About 100 campaign vets gathered at Finn McCool’s bar in D.C. to hear him. In a short speech, Kerry praised Dems who were working on Senate and House campaigns, and then said, according to one listener: “If we take back the House, there’s a solid case to bring articles of impeachment against this president.” Another listener heard a slight variation: “If we win back the House, I think we have a pretty solid case to bring articles of impeachment against this President.” Kerry then quickly added, according to several in the audience, “Don’t tell anyone I said that.”

Now OTB thinks that Kerry’s joking and I value their insights, but on this matter, they are wrong. For anyone who dares to remember John Conyers’ Downing Potemkin Street Theatre, the idea of impeachment is behind everything they do. From Valerie Plame, Richard Clarke’s 8-years-too-late Al Qaeda memo, to the Downing Street Memos, to black-box voting, to you name it. The Hotline story, that OTB links to, yields this:

But several in Kerry’s audience said the comment made them uncomfortable, in part because they believed the press would discover what Kerry said and twist its context.

Dem strategists know that many in their base might favor impeachment. But they do not want the party to appear hyper-partisan, especially when Cong. approval ratings struggle to reach 30 percent. Most Dem strategists believe that Americans would not stomach a second drawn-out, polarizing impeachment trial in the span of ten years. Others do not believe Bush deserves to be impeached. Dem leaders have cautioned colleagues not to use the word “impeachment” when speaking to base crowds.

An Impeach PAC, led by Democrats.com’s Bob Fertik, has raised about $40,000 since November and promises to spend it in competitive races. And at least three national polling firms, Research 2000, Zogby and Rasmussen, have included the impeachment question on surveys.

Dem leaders have cautioned colleagues not use the word “impeachment” but one of their main operatives runs a site called ImpeachPAC that’s currently running at the top Fertik’s leftard site Democrats.com. Other topics of the day include: “Support for Impeaching and Removing Bush Higher Than for Clinton”, “Media Continues to Ignore Impeachment Polling”, and the most realistic yet (that I commented on last week) “Will a Horror Film Impeach Bush?”.

Just so you know that the Democrats aren’t really serious about impeaching Bush – let’s ask them.

“Hey – Are you serious about impeaching Bush?”

DicklickFertik

Looks like that message cautioning against impeachment talk really set in. Am I “twisting the context” too much?

Red State says to “Bring It On”:

The man’s (he said man but I’m assuming he meant Kerry – ed.) got a positive gift for embarrassing his party, don’t you think? Not to mention exquisite timing: he picked the very moment of a watershed occurence in the Middle East to call for the impeachment of the man who helped bring it about (and who he himself authorized to bring it about, but never mind that now). This elevates political buffoonery to a performance art: I am almost in awe.

What’s it gonna take? Finding a copy of The Catcher In The Rye in Agent Orange’s coat pocket to realize this nut isn’t joking?

It must be nice for these Degenerates to have enough disposable income to send off an average of $44.50 to a political cause which the non-dumbfuck wings of their party have even chalked up to lunacy.

I like mental masturbation too, but it’s not worth $45 of my hard-earned money…

    Sunnis Hail Iraqi Elections

This doesn’t quite smell of quagmire does it. Sunnis, who make up about a third of the Iraqi population, think that the elections were a success. And yet, we’re reminded not to get ahead of ourselves – there could be months of negotiations ahead as t…
