The Shield – Season Premiere Liveblogging
January 10th, 2006 at 9:57 pm by Preston Taylor HolmesFor no real reason, I’m going to live-blog tonight’s episode of The Shield. Why? Because it kicks ass. You’ll find the most recent comments at the top of the post, scroll for earlier content. If I stop updating, that means that the good people at Charter have dumped my cable modem again, as they did earlier in the evening. Onward ho…
I have now officially lost interest in this live-blogging crap. I think I’ll go shut this thing down and watch the rest of it in peace. Thanks for showing up, Feisty. You always make it to the cool parties.
Tune in a year from now when I try to live-blog something else and fail miserably.
Projectile vomiting on the interim chief. Now that’s entertainment, baby.
So far what have we got? Mackie’s getting his walking papers. Aceveda wouldn’t take the gum. High-school race riots. A gang war between the “blacks and the browns”. Dutch needs to lay off the porn. Lazy Eye has the goods to take down the strike team. An attempted escape on a moped. Still no commercials. I love that about this show.
Vic Mackey and his taser just demonstrated why I support torture.
High school in L.A. sure looks tough. What with the race-riots and all.
Lemansky getting bashed over the head with a Crucifix at a funeral race-riot. That’s the way to start the season.
Bureaucrat quote of the evening: “Everything always evens out… and so forth…”
I suppose the question this season will be how the appearance of Forest “Lazy Eye” Whitaker will impact the show. I was sure that Glenn Close was going to propel the show up and over the shark last year, but it turned out to be a-ok.

You got me watchin’ this thing now, baby. Good realistic violence. Makes me want to get hopped up on the meth and bust a hole in the wall….again.

I sense your sarcasm, but a party is only as good as who shows up…and a party with you and me alone together, in my opinion, is the best kind of party.

isn’t there a nine inch nails song in some of the commercials for the shield right now? i guess this is interesting after all, sort of.
and now that i’m here, i’m not leaving the party til the keg’s tapped.
