Religion of Murdering Cartoonists Update

February 5th, 2006 at 10:27 am by Preston Taylor Holmes

There have been so many good posts relating to the “muslim cartoon outrage” infecting the globe like an open, running sore. Due to being extremely busy in real-life, I haven’t been able to jump in as I normally would. You would think showing their asses five times a day was enough, but they just have to keep demonstrating their peace, love and understanding with threats of beheadings and the burning down of things. Without continuing to belabor the obvious, here are some thought-provoking posts regarding the Religion of Violence:

Rusty Shackleford: Marx, Communism, Totalitarianism; Muhammed, Islam, Terrorism.

Jeff Goldstein: Identity Politics, Free Speech, and the Future of worldwide Liberalism, 2: a follow-up.

Right Wing Nuthouse: In the end, it’s about empathy.

A fatwa-provoking post:

Vinnie: And now a word from our sponsor.

And fun with photoshop:

GOP and the City.

Update: Smantix poses an excellent question via e-mail – if the mad butchers are looking for cartoonists, can we nominate Ted Rall to be sent to Denmark as a show of goodwill?

If burning embassies an act of war, I don’t know what is.

  2. Jeremiah Says:

If it’s not an act of war … you know what I mean.

    Congrats, Steelers.

  3. Sharon Says:

In response to the cartoon, the Muslim world is putting anti Israel and anti Jewish cartoons in their papers, today. How original.

I can’t speak for all Jews, but I know how this Jew and my Jewish friends will react.

Burn down a building? Hell no.We probably own it, anyhow. The only thing we will burn is the grill at Noshville.

React violently? Yes, but only to the ones who dress in schmata like rags. It’s so retro. Gucci and Fendi and Prada, oh my.

Seriously,(though I am serious about the above) between Hamas being elected and Muslims going jihad over a cartoon, they are helping Jews and Israel by showing the world exactly what it looks like for Israel to live next door to them.
How would you like them for your next door neighbors?
    Just asking…

I really was upset about the cartoons. Why make such cartoons when they are infactual and false?

If people really read about the prophet peace be upon him they would realise he was a mercy to mankind.

Moreover, as Muslims we aren’t allowed to draw pictures of Prophets, furthermore, we aren’t meant to disrespect someone elses religion. We respect all prophets, Moses, Abraham, Jesus, so why not respect our dear Prophet?

Sharon, don’t burn down Gnoshville. Burn down the hair salon across the street instead.

This: “How would you like them for your next door neighbors?” is a great question.

I have been disappointed in the U.S. State Department’s willingness to bend over and bully Israel into caving into their barbarian neighbors. I wish Israel would take a much firmer hand – hopefully with Hamas in power, they’ll be able to do so with less fear of reprisal.

Interesting post, especially your equivocating last line. Are Christian infidels? Does Israel have a right to exist?
Did the Holocaust happen? Does Islam seek to convert all non-believers? Does Islam condone decapitation of hostages who have nothing to do with the conflict at hand? Do non-believers have the CIVIL RIGHT to pronounce on religion, whether you are offended or not? What makes a cartoon “infactual or false”? Why do all of the 34 wars/conflicts/rebellions currently underway in the world have Muslims as one of the contestants? Why does the Muslim world blow up cars and airplanes without the technological capacity to build them, or anything else….That’s for now. More later.

  7. MCPO_Seabee Says:

Ignoring these murderous thugs is like sleeping with a ticking time bomb. If we don’t wake up, and wake up soon, that time bome is going to blow up in our face. And it’s way to quite in the community of “so called” rational muslims in this country. Mr. Mulla…..it’s time to speak up in masse about this craziness…or it’s time to leave. Don’t want to leave? Then it’s time for an FDR type wild west roundup.

Well be…let me ’splain something about this country. We have freedom of speech here. And even if you’re offended about something that someone says, does or draws, you also have the freedom of being “peacefully” offended. Many of us military and former military people are offended daily by anti-war cartoonist. Do you see us killing, beheading, burning or rioting? No, of course you don’t.

Now if you don’t like that type of society, then you need to leave for a really free society such as syria, palestine, saudi arabia, etc. I, and most of my fellow citizen, really won’t miss you. But start somekind of craziness like that here in America, and expect an M-16 5.56mm round to coming at your ass. No peace be to you brother….and if you don’t want peace….be prepared for an American war that you really won’t like.
