President Junior: Crazy like a Fox, or Just Plain Crazy?

February 9th, 2006 at 11:03 am by Preston Taylor Holmes

The other day, in a fit of either good or poor judgment – I can’t decide – President Junior hopped on a Greyhound and went down to Coretta Scott King’s 18th memorial in 3 days.

As was entirely predictable, he was quickly reminded that he was in enemy territory.

First came the bloated Reverend Joseph Lowery, who attacked President Junior for bringing “weapons of misdirection” with him to the service. Must’ve been in his pockets.

The outspoken Rev. Joseph Lowery, co-founder of Southern Christian Leadership Conference, ripped into President Bush during his short speech, ostensibly about the wife of Martin Luther King Jr.

“She extended Martin’s message against poverty, racism and war. She deplored the terror inflicted by our smart bombs on missions way afar. We know now that there were no weapons of mass destruction over there,” Lowery said.

The mostly black crowd applauded, then rose to its feet and cheered in a two-minute-long standing ovation.

A closed-circuit television in the mega-church outside Atlanta showed the president smiling uncomfortably.

“But Coretta knew, and we know,” Lowery continued, “That there are weapons of misdirection right down here,” he said, nodding his head toward the row of presidents past and present. “For war, billions more, but no more for the poor!” The crowd again cheered wildly.

So, to translate for the hard-of-comprehending, the right Reverend is effectively saying “quit fighting that good-for-nothing war on terror and give us minorities more handouts as protection money!” Way to empower your people, Rev.

It didn’t stop there, because the senile, Jew-hating, Marxist peanut-farmer was on hand to shit on the festivities. When Jimmuh be all up in da hizzy, you know he gwan be off da hook!

Former President Jimmy Carter later swung at Bush as well, not once but twice. As he talked about the Kings, he said: “It was difficult for them then personally with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretaps.” The crowd cheered as Bush, under fire for a secret wiretapping program he ordered after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, again smiled weakly.

Later, Carter said Hurricane Katrina showed that all are not yet equal in America. Some black leaders have blamed Bush for the poor federal response, and rapper Kayne West said that Bush “hates” black people.

Yes, President Junior hates black people. That’s why he keeps on showing up at your events to curry your favor and give you a target for your bile.

So my question is this: Is President Junior really the moron he appears to be, or was this a staged move to create artificial sympathy for himself?

His handlers had to know that he was going to be attacked throughout the service. Yet, here he was, paying the country’s respects to a civil rights icon – and he gets verbally shat upon by the peanut farmer and the good-hearted, racist reverend. Was it all a set-up to generate sympathy for the President? I just can’t bring myself to give the President that much credit. Political genius or more run-of-the-mill retardation?

And what of the new “political tone” of the country where the Office of the Presidency is so disrespected? Back in the day, former presidents wouldn’t have attacked sitting presidents in such a brazen and low-brow fashion. The lovely Mrs. Holmes commented that she believes respect for the office died during the Clintons’ team presidency and that what she called the “veil of civility” is forever torn asunder.

I don’t know. Perhaps she’s right.

Mrs. Holmes is absolutely right! The policy of respect for the office of the President was eliminated under the Clinton Regime. I don’t think it’s ever coming back, either. This country is now completely jaded thanks to Bubba getting a hummer froma fat chick in the Oral (errr… Oval) Office and then lying about it on national TV.

  2. ViVi Says:

Bingo Mrs Holmes! For the love of Pete, Clinton WAS IMPEACHED (see Yiddish Steel’s post) but he kept on keeping on. How much more disgrace can you bring to the bully pulpit? None, I suggest. Is it any wonder there is no longer any respect for the President? I do think it will return though if we continue to have men of integrity sitting in the top chair. (Yes, I said men)

  3. brittney Says:

Yeah, Nixon had shit-all to do with that.

  4. ViVi Says:

OH,I got sidetracked–what I really wanted to say is Pres Jr. is certainly no moron. He HAD to be present, knowing he would be attacked. He handled it the only way it could be handled–he had to sit there and take it. I dont think it was calculated to generate sympathy; it was just an inevitability.

The difference being, Nixon resigned–a move that shifted the mark to Nixon personally as opposed to the Presidency. Clinton defiled the Presidency through impeachment and then some. Big difference in terms of its effect on the Presidency as a whole.

  6. Feisty Says:

You mean this Jimmy Carter fella was PRESIDENT? Who knew.

Is President Junior really the moron he appears to be, or was this a staged move to create artificial sympathy for himself?

PTH darling, the leader of the free world can show up at funerals and take a little oratorical heat from impolite people who think handouts are the best thing for their people.

Sometimes when someone is being rude by spewing vile hatred in an inappropriate forum, the best thing to do is demonstrate with your words and actions that you won’t stoop to their level.

  7. Smantix Says:

Let’s hop in the wayback machine for a moment. American Politics has never been anything but dirty pool. Mudslinging was, is, and shall forever be the name of the game.

    The Election of 1828.

And I personally can’t wait until the Hillary campaign gets underway. Eventually, somebody has to ask her what it’s like to share the bed with a man who jizzed off in a fat girl’s hair and made her go on tv to lie about it. Monica’s stain was on a blue dress. Hillary’s stain is on the inside. Let’s shout it out.

  8. dsmith Says:

Although Mrs. Holmes makes a good point, I’m going to have to go with Smantix on this.

There is also that “a house divided against itself cannot stand” speech from Lincoln in 1858.

    Lincoln Speech Link

This has been going on (sadly) since the very beginning, and unfortunately, it is not going to get any better.

Another point: all throughout history, who has continually screamed the LOUDEST?

    You got it!

  9. Redneck Ricky Says:

Getting blowjobs from fat chicks is cool! Clinton Rocks!

Bush doesn’t drink, and he doesn’t get blowjobs. He’s such a pussy.
