Jill Carroll: 2006′s Giuliana Sgrena?

“I am here. I am fine. Please just do whatever they want, give them whatever they want as quickly as possible,” Carroll said, adding she was speaking on Feb. 2. “There is a very short time. Please do it fast. That’s all.”
Armed men abducted the 28-year-old freelance reporter for Boston-based The Christian Science Monitor on Jan. 7 in Baghdad. Carroll is also a graduate of UMass Amherst.
I didn’t know she went to UMass-Amherst. That’s one of the biggest bastions of politically-correct leftism on the east coast. This may explain how she got caught up in the dank multicultural pit that sent her spiraling into a romantic love for islam.
Do I really believe that this is yet another staged event – a la Giuliana? I don’t know. It is interesting, however, that several deadlines have passed and here we have yet another video.
Don’t get me wrong – I hope that she is released unharmed – no matter how twisted and demented she has become due to her fellow-traveler insanity – but this is starting to reek worse than Michael Moore after 2 days without a bath.
I guess we’ll only really know if she makes a break for it in a commie car that gets riddled with imaginary bullets. Time will tell.

Even though she’s a batshit crazy lib that thought being the CSM’s token liberal Iraq Correspondent would jump-start her career, I think she looks kinda hot in that green burqa.

A friend sent me this “Six Meat Buffet”. Conservative yet insensitive: all the qualities I admire in a blog. I will now be a regular reader and occasional contributor. ** I was heretofore unaware of Ms. Carroll’s lefty-lib leanings and felt kinda sorry for her, but now that I know she is among friends (comrades?), I feel content knowing she will be well fed and will soon be released by the ragheads so she can write a best-selling book. ** She DOES look HOT in that green burqua! Does Frederick’s of Hollywood or Victoria’s Secret market those things in the Middle East?

IMHO…I secretly admire people like her. Whatever her political persuasion. I know it sounds naive, but her real crime is just that: a girl who put herself in the middle of a dangerous place without a tank or a .45 because she had a desire to know things and see them for herself, out of a desire NOT to be naive. She is certainly LIVING right now in the face of death. Not just tapping on a keyboard like me.

I’m not sure what it is about this whole situation regarding Ms Carroll, but something is not right. Unless I’m mistaken isn’t she the longest surviving captor of these goons? If so, why? They know that their demands won’t be met, so why do they continue to hold her. Just food for thought.
