Tough Times At The Buffet
March 21st, 2006 at 7:14 pm by CrankyYou know things are bad when major Preston Taylor Holmes news happens and you get narry a peep out of the old boy.
First, there’s this gem from his blog crush, Debbie Schlussel:
Comment, Mr. Holmes?
Didn’t think so.
On to his other obsession. Every time this story hits the news, our links from Google go off the charts and Preston has to be restrained.
Pres? Hello?
UPDATE:
(Preston reporting for duty…)
Well, Cranky, as you know, my personal posting has been light and will continue to be so due a new job I just started a few short weeks ago. I’m in a situation where I can’t really blog from work and I’m having to do quite a bit of getting up-to-speed, which has cut into blogtime. In addition to that, taking care of the young ‘uns eats into time at home, leaving me with less and less time to blog. AND, in addition to that, I’ve had the same blog-apathy from which others have suffered as of late.
I generally don’t blather all my personal every-day real-life B.S. here at the Buffet and I will continue to avoid doing that. If you’re really curious, you can always drop me an e-mail. But rest assured, I’m not jumping ship or purposefully ignoring you freaks. I do have some in the pipeline, it’s simply a matter of getting to them. Oh yeah, and The Sopranos absolutely sucked out loud the other night. I’ve been meaning to post about that, but haven’t had time. Holy shit, has that show officially jumped the shark. You know what, David Chase, just keep the sixth season. We don’t need it.
I would like to thank Smantix and Cranky for continuing to pump out quality material here while I tend to real life and what-not. Without you guys, this blog would be pushin’ up daisies like Tupac.
Oh, one more thing… I would like to thank Debra Lafave for the 7000+ unique visits today (and counting). And Debra, if you need a place to stay for a while… well…. we do have a guest room.

Yeah — I saw my hit counter spinning, and as soon as I saw the first 20 were all Google or Yahoo searched for the wretched Debbie LaFave, I knew she must be back in the news.
Ans sho’ ’nuff, there she is.

What? Tupac is dead! That can’t be! I see him all the time on T-shirts all over DC… Why would all those people wear shirts with some dead guy on them? It is sorta like wearing a Che t-shirt or something…
Oh… Yeah…

Our local news announced that LaFave is engaged to a high school sweetie. From when she was in high school and not working there.
I can’t help but wonder if that was her prison pen pal who came on and wrote to her rescue in the comments a few weeks ago.

Preston spend that time with the youngens. You only get one chance to do it right.

Other wise you will wind up with adult kids like some of the idiots out there you write your material on. We will just have to depend on Cranky and Smantix more
Or maybe a laptop you could blog durin your lunch hour.

The Sopranos sixth season sucks? This new job must be getting to you, P. I’ll ask Paulie Walnuts to visit and “discuss” this with you. Gene Pontevorco had thoughts along those lines and look where he is now.

Yeah, I really thought this week’s episode of the Sopranos sucked too, until I watched it again last night.
There were a lot of little things that I missed, and it made a heck of a lot more sense the second time around.
Just one question though. What is up with Carmella’s teeth? Did anyone else notice that? She’s got some kinda gingivitis thing going on in there.
Also, you are wrong about Tupak. He’s not dead! He just released a new cd a couple months ago.
