Imran, you tardo. You just reiterated my darlin’ Preston’s point. You compared the converting-to-Christianity Afghani death penalty to CRAP THAT WENT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE AGES.

When your Islamic society has to defend itself by saying ‘but Christians did that too…in AD 1307!’, perhaps you should, ya know, re-evaluate your society.

You make a good point about the insanity plea.

However, I’m tired of people making the comparison of the modern day islamic barbarians and Christians who used to “burn people at the stake”.

Though you wouldn’t know it in the middle east, this is 2006 and Christians are no longer burning people at the stake. I guess in another 400 or 500 years, islam may evolve out of their current convert-or-be-slaughtered mentality, but I’m not putting any money on it.

Well…. I would question his sanity… here’s a guy living in Germany. He converts out of Islam and …. goes to Afghanistan? Doh.

Plus, the insanity plea can allow Karzai and Co. to let him live while not enraging the illiterate Afghan poppy producing whackos.
