Sweet Pickness Brings Home The Trophy

April 6th, 2006 at 10:20 pm by Preston Taylor Holmes

Well, it’s not much of a trophy, but Richard from Aimlessly Wandering won the Six Meat NCAA Basketball Challenge.

The final standings:

Given the fact that Richard tends to lean towards the liberal/progressive end of the political spectrum, I’m not sure if he even wants the “prize” of a free month-long ad in the sidebar, but I’ve sent him an e-mail to see how he wants to handle it. I’ve assured him that 6MB would not be sending him a bunch of righty trolls, so be polite when you visit his blog (not that I would expect any less from my readers).

Congrats Richard on kicking all of our asses sideways. And thanks to everyone who joined in the fun – contests like this are easy when you let ESPN.com do all the heavy lifting.

UPDATE (4/13):

I did get a response from Richard and will get his ad graphic and link up by the weekend.

For someone who hasn’t watched one college basketball game in four years, I didn’t come in last. That is a triumph in itself. Thanks for organizaing this again, Preston. It was fun finding five more dupes that knew less than I did.

  2. R. Crout Says:

Thanks for organizing this Preston. It was a lot of fun to watch. I will begin studying film next October and hope for better results next year..

  3. Pigilito Says:

Crap. I wasn’t even top expat. Damn that Unabrewer.

Thanks for running the challenge. I hope to be back next year.

  4. Deliverance Says:

I played with a head injury. But I played because I had to defend my championship. I’m not a quitter. Don’t I get any points for that? And besides I had a handicap–the burden of being defending champion.
