This Land Is Was Your Land

April 6th, 2006 at 11:20 pm by Preston Taylor Holmes

What is left to say about today’s amnesty bill for illegals, for which our turncoat Senators have been patting themselves on the back all afternoon? The bottom line is that the sellout of our country is pretty much complete.

We’ve finally achieved the perfect combination of GOP and Democrat corruption, resulting in the perfect election-year shitstorm. The GOP wants their cheap illegal labor for the various meatpacking and homebuilders associations that line their pockets, and the Donks know damn well that millions of unassimilated illegals will likely be voting for them as the magic handout train grows and expands beyond our borders.

President Junior, our faux-conservative-in-chief, has to be tickled red-white-and-green tonight. Here’s yet another bill that he won’t veto – since he hasn’t had the stones to veto one yet, why in the world would he start with this one? Additionally, it keeps the precious flow of illegals streaming across the border, providing the cheap labor his business interests so desperately need to compete with jobs he helped send overseas.

This amnesty bill – and that’s exactly what it is – is the equivalent of shitting in the mouths of LEGAL immigrants and then telling them it’s an ice cream sundae.

The entire debate over ILLEGAL immigration is a slap in the face and a shoe in the nuts of the good people who have put so much time and effort into following the rules and becoming Americans LEGALLY. Handing citizenship over to people who have no regard for the rule of law to begin with is unsettling at best and vomit-inducing at worst.

You see, President Junior, I don’t care if these are “just good people seeking a better life in America.” Good people actually go through the steps necessary to gain citizenship – good people don’t wipe their ass with our flag and our constitution. But why would we worry with silly things like the rule of law when cheap under-the-table labor abounds?

Notable quotables:

Ace brings it.

For one side: the wall and vigorous patrolling, and stiffer penalties for future illegals, and local policemen required to report and detain illegals, rather than giving them sanctuary.

For the other side: a generous welcoming of those already here, and a path to full citizenship.

This bill, of course, gives most of the latter but none of the former. We have bullshit claims that we’ll “increase border security,” but of course we’ll be doing no such thing.

So — we will be creating essentially a legal, official regime of open borders, with some minor bureaucratic hurdles for those wishing to come to the country and work here, and eventually become citizens.

If illegal immigrants share one political amition, it’s for open borders, and more immigration, legal or not. So we’re letting in millions of people — soon to be voting citizens — dedicated to allowing in further millions, and neither party feels they can afford to alienate them. As those millions become dozens of millions, it will be politically impossible to effect any sort of limits on immigration at all.

And don’t buy the bullshit that Hispanics vote Republican. They don’t. They vote more Republican than many other minority groups, but they are still 60-40 in favor of Democrats, or thereabouts. So every ten million new Mexican-American voters puts 2 million votes in the Democrats hands– who will of course seek to pad their numbers by allowing more immigrants to become citizens.

Voters should select their politicians. However, we now have politicians selecting their voters, and it’s only going to get worse.

Michelle Malkin looks at the history of U.S. amnesty programs through the years, and how, in each case, the numbers of illegals grew. And that’s just one of the negatives with this legislative abortion.

You should also read Dave’s take on the whole thing.

There are plenty more out there, but I’m tired, pissed-off and it’s late. I’ll just summarize with this: If you pussy Republicans in the Senate think this is going to help with re-election in the fall, you’ve been inhaling too much blow off the racks of D.C. hookers. This is likely the final nail in the coffin for this GOP congress.

We rank-and-file GOP-leaning independent conservatives are done. And it’s going to show on election night this fall when we stay home or (God forbid!) vote Libertarian.

You GOP hopefuls who are vying to take Frist’s spot in the Senate will be thankful when you’re beaten soundly by – ugh – Harold Ford Jr. and don’t have to actually move to Washington and suckle at the teet of President Mushmouth. You won’t realize it at the time, but you’ll be thankful later on.

This is a sad, sick shame. Stay tuned for the list of laws that I will no longer be following since the rule of law no longer applies in this country.

UPDATE:

How did I miss this?

UPDATE 2:

The Senate bill may be dead in the water. Keep hope alive…

You evidently didn’t see this Univision anchor douche on Midget Maher’s lefty lovefest last Friday. He was bragging about how illegal immigration was going to get so bad that they will be the majority in the next 20 years.

Frist is an incompetent fool and just signed his one way ticket back to killing kitties behind Vanderbilt’s dumpster.

You’re done, Frist! Tell us all the big secret on how you can tell an illegal who’s been here 5 years from one who’s been here 2 years. Is there some evaporative measure of how wet their back is that we can buy at Walgreen’s? I’m dying to know.

Explain how asking for back taxes isn’t going to lead to lawsuits for back wages, OT pay and OSHA violations.

You just bought a brand new entitlement class that will stop working as soon as the Donks promise them a handout comparable to busting their asses in a field all day.

  2. Smantix Says:

If states can put Gay Marriage on the ballots, why can’t someone organize a referendum on Illegal Immigration?

  3. Preston Taylor Holmes Says:

Because all your area business leaders love the cheap, undocumented labor as well. Just go drive through Brentwood and see who’s building the houses, working the car washes, blowing leaves at the office complexes.

  4. Thelonious Funk Says:

Yeah, those damn potato-eating micks are fouling up our cities with their drunken-brawling-low-morals-having-ways. If we don’t do a better job of keeping them out of this country, the whole place will go to hell in a handbasket.

Oh. Wait. I just put my glasses on. I thought the calendar said 1906, but it’s 2006. I meant to say “taco-eating wetbacks” in that case.

Armed Citizens to the Border NOW!

  6. Yiddish Steel Says:

If you’ve been hitting the phone lines and calling your Congressman, you’re doing more than the rest of the ambivolant complainers out there. I have had no such luck getting ahold of ANYONE in the 50th Congressional District here in San Diego, since this is that whore, Randy “PUKE” Cunningham country. So there’s nobody home to get the message. I hope to G_d that the Congress is wielding the ultimate pimp-hand at the Senate over this bullshit amnesty program that is the 800lb bastard, red-headed step-child of Reagan’s 1986 amnesty and all the mutant offspring that have come about since. Howard Kaloogian is running for Cunningham’s spot this fall, but, by then, it will almost likely be too late. If this thing passes, we are SERIOUSLY FUKKED, PEOPLE!!

  7. Wild Thing Says:

I faxed, snail mailed, emailed and called as well. I wish it made a difference but ti didn’t! GRRRRrrrrrr!!!
