East of Andrea – More Great Moments in Equal Rights

August 15th, 2006 at 2:25 pm by Smantix

Psychopathic checkbook imbalancer Mary Winkler is being released on $750,000 bond this afternoon so she can do a better job of escaping the police than she did when she fled the state after murdering her preacher husband.

For those unclear on the concept – let’s examine Mad Mary’s rationale for arriving at her husband’s cordite conclusion:

“I was upset at him because he had really been on me lately, criticizing me for things — the way I walk, what I eat, everything. It was just building up to this point. I was just tired of it. I guess I just got to a point and snapped.”

Well I should say you did.

Let’s be crystal on this – Mary Winkler killed her husband in either the 2nd or 1st degree. But at this moment, she is cruising down the street, a free bird, looking to buy a Sonic Blizzard that her meany husband would have no doubt frowned upon because of her church secretary spread.

There are some who say that she was “mentally abused” and that’s why she had to peel her emotional cap back. Or that her husband was a fundie hypocrite.

There was a slightly less drastic conclusion Mary could have arrived. It’s called D-I-V-O-R-C-E. You can only kill someone if you fear for your life. The hole in Matthew Winkler’s backside is quite the contretemp to that assertion though.

Do we doubt for a moment that if Mrs. Winkler had been pestering him about taking out the trash, cleaning out the gutters and losing some of his love handles that he would be cruising the streets today after springing buckshot on the Mrs. for the affront of her henpeckery?

The Widow Winkler will soon begin a job as a dry cleaner as she awaits her hearing but the whitewash of her crime has already been written.

I don’t think you’re being fair to the lady. She had to kill him, because divorce is often illegal in certain religions. She’s the real victim here.

    ’til death do us part.

  3. captain bringdown Says:

The way you explain it,she seems like the devil. What say ,we just wait till a little thing called “the evidence”comes out at trial, before we demonize her,O.K. cowboy?

  4. Smantix Says:

The evidence is that she has already confessed Capitan Cumstain. So run this up your flagpole

In a statement to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Winkler said she shot her husband with a 12-gauge shotgun after a night of arguing over finances and other family problems.

At a hearing Wednesday, an agent with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation said Winkler admitted shooting her husband, Matthew Winkler, but resisted talking about him.

“She said she didn’t want the news media smearing him,” said agent Stan Stabler.

Stabler said Winkler told him she had not been physically abused.

She’s not denying that she did it. She did it. She knows it. We know it.

I realize your kind feels some perverse sense of moral superiority by sympathizing with women who drown their children in bathtubs or kill their husbands because they are threatening to take the checkbook away from them. I know, I know. brittany and her NiTwit lemmings, like yourself, gobble that goop up.

    So please – gobble elsewhere.

No way Smantix. She’s a saint now. Who cares about facts? It feels like she’s the good guy. That’s enough for me.

God bless Mother Sheehan. Err… Sister Mary.

  6. dsmith Says:

Captain, she has already admitted to not only shooting her husband, but also that he was still alive when she gathered up the kids and left the house.

She also admitted that she was involved in some kind of pyramid scheme gone wrong, which cost the couple thousands of dollars. That’s a lot of money on a preachers salary.

She’s no saint, and she is guilty of murder. To what degree, is the only question.

You can’t shoot someone because you are in fear of your “emotional well being”. Only physical well being.

  7. Andrea Yates Says:

Stand Tall Mary Winkler! Yes, I know you have already “confessed” to liberating yourself from your oppressive husbynd…but you can still beat this bogus rap.

One thing is confusing though. Didn’t you know you could have disposed of those inconvenient children has well?

Give me a call…there is still time while you are free…

  8. michele Says:

I don’t know how having to come up with $750,000 bail solves one’s financial problems. Seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars! Does this come from her supporters? Some Prince in Nigeria?

  9. submandave Says:

In granting bail a judge must weigh the fact that a defendant is innocent until proven guilty against both the risk of flight and the potential danger posed to others. In this case she has already fled once, confessed to the act and related that she di dit because she “just got to a point and snapped.” In my eyes this is a perfect example of three strikes against bail. While I tend to believe a man in similar circumstances would still be a guest of the iron-bar inn, given some of the ridiculous bail stories we’ve all read I unfortunately can’t say that with complete assurance.
