9-11 Memorial Accused of Having “Hidden Agenda”

September 24th, 2006 at 1:16 pm by Cranky

Would you entrust your nation’s security to people who feel that the United States brought 9-11 on itself? What if an opportunity to remember the those murdered in a terrorist attack was used to present alternative viewpoints which often decry American aggression and global malfeasance?

You might get this.

I wonder why elected Democrats feel this way about our country?

Given their drothers, we might be facing worse. Something like this:

Ace has much more.

UPDATE: The story is gaining traction. Hot Air has video from Fox News.

In other news, Eric Foner has volunteered to move the monument to Columbia University. (OK, I made that up).

UPDATE II: The Professor X to my Wolverine, Sean Gleeson brings on more AZ Memorial Moonbattery.

More pix here: Macker’s Moonbat memorial!

“Paging Senator McCain… Senator ‘Keating’ McCain? Your soul is on the white courtesy phone. It wants to know what the fuck is going on in your backyard.”

I would usually strongly condemn action of this sort, but when I was younger I would go to this “memorial” and make sure no one would be able to read this propaganda after I left. Aren’t there any patriots in Arizona?

  3. jesusland joe Says:

    Hint…hint!

jj, I bet there are plenty. My hunch is that now that light is being shined on the cockroaches, there will be enough outrage to have it removed.

I hope the AZ Republicans play this as cynically as possible in November.

    …THE BLAMEMORIAL…..back in the News…

    The Real ARIZONA MEMORIAL

    The ARIZONA BLAMEMORIAL

Arizona Govenor Gov. Janet Napolitano said she hopes the memorial becomes a “place to come and think about what happened’’ and what the United States needs to do in response to that.” W…

  6. Sean Gleeson Says:

Dang it, Cranky, it seems you beat me to the gag this time. But there will be other times. I’ll go update and link to this.

  7. Sean Gleeson Says:

    Moonbat memorial architect denies bias…

In an exclusive statement to the Gleeson Bloglomerate today, the architect of the controversial Arizona 9/11 Memorial defended the inscriptions on the bleak iron crescent, and denied charges of partisan bias.

    The Arizona 9/11 memorial disgrace…

***scroll for updates…AZ Gov. Napolitano thinks the memorial is “great,” “honorable,” and “responsible…” You have got to see the entire stomach-turning photo series of the Arizona 9/11 memorial disgrace over at Hot Air. Many thanks to Hot Air…

  9. Will Says:

Len Munsil, Napolitano’s Republican challenger is all over this on his daily blog at http://www.lenmunsil.com, sounds like they are doing a press conference with families of those who died in Iraq. I don’t think Napolitano is getting away with this one.

and here’s my contribution: Macker’s Moonbat memorial!

    Arizona’s activist memorial…

This is what happens to a memorial site when you let political activists design and build it. Across the street from the memorial in Phoenix sits a place for political discussions, Arizona’s state capitol building, which is where they should hav…

  12. TC@LeatherPenguin Says:

Cranky? It ain’t “cynical” if you got circumstantial evidence.

  13. DR Says:

I think it is an excellent memorial that captures my feelings post 9/11. I will fight to keep it standing forever.

  14. TC@LeatherPenguin Says:

Yeah, right, DR. And if I hit you with a leather-wrapped baseball bat you’d call me “Daddy.”

  15. Lee Says:

Something that we forget fellas, is that most normal people don’t know what the letters DU mean, or that a Kossack isn’t just in old Russia.

In other words, while we’re in a way desenstitized to (when I first heard about this, I just sighed) normal folks will be shocked in a way that we’re are now incapable of.

This is a perfect example of what happens when they get off line, and say what they believe in public.

And it will politically kill most Dems that flirt with these guys when it happens.

  16. Swamp Rabbit Says:

All you 9/11 memorials are belong to us! (I think there is some real truth in that statement)

  17. TC@LeatherPenguin Says:

“Paging Mr Fudd… Mr. Elmer Fudd? Yhere’s a stray rabbit needing shooting in aisle one.”
