USS Cole Memorial

October 12th, 2006 at 2:21 pm by Cranky

Read this detailed roundup of reaction and memories surrounding the terrorist attack on the USS Cole.

For once, Armies of Liberation does a post having nothing to do with Yemen!

Except for the fact that the USS Cole was docked in Yemen.

And that the perpetrators were al-Qaeda based in Yemen.

But that’s it.

Unless you think that maybe the Yemeni government let the al-Qaeda operatives escape. Then you can count that.

Other than that, no Yemen connection whatsoever.

  1. Jane Says:

I cant get over that the Yemeni govt had the guy dress up in a prison uniform to make it look like he was coming from jail whenever he went to court, to fool the US into thinking he was imprisoned.

But enough about Yemen, lets talk about Yemen.

  2. Jenn of the Jungle Says:

You seem to be implying that Yemen was in some way responsible, or had a thing to do with the Cole bombing, or the fostering of the Al-Quaeda bee-yotches that perpetrated this horrific deed.

This of course is incorrect, it was Bush’s fault. Everybody knows that. Or Rove’s. It just depends on which day of the week it is.

  3. Jane Says:

Bwahahaha I love it here. I’ve been away for too long.

  4. Billy Says:

Good to see you back, Jane. Unfortunately, I could not locate any 80’s songs about Yemen on The Tube.

Cranky, I wonder what happened to Sharon. No response after her birthday…

Perhaps she celebrated a little too hard…

  5. Skul Says:

In rememberance of our men and women serving on the USS Cole. Salute
