Illegal Immigrants… Killing the Actresses Americans Don’t Want To Kill (19th in a series)

Ecuadorian (is that a word?) Diego Pillco – in the country illegally, doing the jobs that Americans don’t want to do – like killing actresses and old ladies – confessed to murdering indie film star Adrienne Shelly and making it look like a suicide.
“I was having a bad day,” illegal immigrant Diego Pillco, 19, allegedly told cops. “I didn’t mean to kill her. But I did kill her.”
Pillco told detectives that he punched Shelly, 40, last Wednesday afternoon outside the Abingdon Square apartment she was using as an office after she yelled at him about the noise he was making while working in a vacant apartment below.
Pillco, who is from Ecuador and speaks only Spanish, also claimed that Shelly slapped him first.
After seeing she was unconscious and believing she was dead, Pillco claimed, he dragged Shelly into her apartment, wrapped a bed sheet around her neck and attached it to a shower rod in the bathroom to make it appear she had hanged herself, sources said. The medical examiner has not yet released autopsy results.
Pillco added that, since he was only here seeking a better life for himself and his family, that he should be let off with probation. Who can blame him? Who hasn’t had a bad day while trying to achieve the American Dream™?

Preston, after reading your post on this illegal alien murderer, I am having a bad day. And if the Dim-o-crats win control of the House or Senate, or both, tomorrow might see me having the worst day of my life.
But illegal aliens don’t have to worry about me killing them just because I am having a bad day. And Americans should kick these slimeballs out of the US. Post haste!

Wow, using someone’s tragic death has a launching point to rail against illegal immigration. Well done! I wish they were all deported so that we could be safe again, because Lord knows all murderers are illegal immigrants and all illegal immigrants are murderers and… wait, what was the point again?
Well the guy was no doubt a psychopath and I’m glad they caught him. And her death, as I and many others who knew or had met her, is a needless, sick tragedy. But really, it’s shameful to make this into a broader argument against illegal immigration. I can’t imagine Ms. Shelly would care for it, either.

Hey Craig…thanks for letting us all know how the deceased would have felt about it. Of course if Mr. Pillco had not been in our country illegally, she would be alive to give us her point of view.
And in defense of Preston, this isn’t close to the first time he has chronicled crimes committed by people who aren’t supposed to be here in the first place. Are all illegals murderers? Of course not.
But for every murder of an American citizen committed by an illegal alien, there would one more American alive.
Yes. A simple argument. I am sure the complexities of the immigration issue escape me…

Check our Illegal Immigration archive Craig. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time we’ve had illegals who were criminals in Mexico and fled here to keep murdering, raping and robbing in an environment where no one knows who they are.

1) My main point was I felt it was tasteless to politicize someone’s tragic death. If it was meant partially in humor, I might have missed that, but I don’t take it back.
2) Yes, there are illegal immigrants who are murderers and rapists. There are legal immigrants who are murderers and rapists. There are many more American citizens who are murderers and rapists. Should we deport everyone?
Anyway, enjoy your conversation here. I’m going to quietly honor Shelly’s memory in other ways, elsewhere. Cheers!

And US citizens are granted constitutional protections so it’s hard to pre-emptively stop someone who might be a murderer.
However, someone who has absolutely no right to be here in the first place could have been stopped if anyone had bothered. Now this woman’s family has to bury one of their own as a sacrifice to some imagined tolerance towards multiculturalism.
Allowing the illegal immigration of an unknown number of criminals is a suicide pact. Except when it’s a homicide pact.

Methinks Craig misses a lot of points.
The point, as Smantix deftly pointed out with his original post on the Nashville-area illegal that killed an old woman, is that we’re sold a line of bullshit from the GOP and the Donks that the illegals are the holiest of the holy – here simply to share the American dream and do what’s right for their families. While that may be true for some, plenty of Mexican and Central American jails have been emptied into the Rio Grande and we’re reaping what the both parties have sown.
There’s nothing funny about the death of the actress or the old woman or any of the countless others who have been killed by illegal immigrants – whether via murder or drunk driving.

Let’s look at the issue of ’cause and effect’.
1. If our southern border was more secure, Diego Pillco would not be
here in this country and Adrienne Shelly would be alive.
2. If the person who hired Diego Pillco, did the right thing and hire
only document workers, Adrienne Shelly would be alive.
