I believe it went down something like this:

Me: Let’s yank that tooth, boy.

Jr: First the war paint.

Me: The war paint?

Jr: Just in case it turns into a bloodbath.

Me: Good idea.

It was either that or his face getting painted at a birthday party earlier in the afternoon. Can’t remember which.

I lost my first tooth playing Evel Knievel on my tricycle, flipping it over and right into a railing. I still have a very small gap in my front two teeth (not horribly noticible, but I can still feel it).

I’d get a hockey stick in PJ’s hands, pronto. He looks like he’s cut out for it!
