Bill Richardson Is Hispanic

January 21st, 2007 at 5:38 pm by Smantix

Like the identity of Wen Ho Lee, somehow it was leaked to the media that New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is wanting to be the El General Gordo Lead 1st Shift Supervisor of Once and Future AztlanTaco Bell Norte. Richardson, Clinton’s former Energy Secretary, is highly regarded by loyal Democrats for his diplomatic skills after attempting to bribe the NorKs away from the nuclear precipice by giving them two nuclear reactors in exchange for promising to be good, little Kim Jong-Ils. The fruit of his success was bore in 2003 when North Korea withdrew from the farcical Non-Proliferation Treaty and proclaimed with a straight face that:

“Our nuclear activities at this stage will be confined only to peaceful purposes such as the production of electricity.”

Thank Buddy Christ that we had the right man in the right place at the right time on that one to keep “the dialogue” working.

Pfew.

Governor Richardson is also, by the way, as hispanic as John Kerry is a Vietnam vet.

Bill Richardson is not non-hispanic
Former Energy Secretary Bill Richardson who, by the way, is hispanic.

Governor Richardson has also managed to obtained the vaunted Clinton Press Pass ™ which insulates him from having to explain remarks like these: (link requires more registration than the rally it covers)

Before a sea of picketing immigrants, Gov. Bill Richardson took the stage Thursday at De Vargas Park in Santa Fe. The occasion was an Immigrant Workers Freedom Ride Rally, and Richardson wasted no time showing his support for the hundreds of immigrant workers before him.
Viva la raza! Vivan los inmigrantes! Bienvenidos inmigrantes!” he shouted, acknowledging their quest for equality and human rights for the nation’s immigrant work force. “Thank you for coming to Santa Fe. Know that New Mexico is your home. We will protect you. You have rights here.”

Viva la raza, indeed. Bill’s got a klan-tastic gift for oration.

I see his blog pita is rolled tightly with such luminary centrists as FireDogLake, DailyKos, Democratic Underground, handsome constitutional law scholar/hot-shot Golden Globe recipient Gregg Glenfeld, and MoveOn.org. Although you were born in Pasadena and only lived outside of the country because your father was a rich, “non-hispanic”, Bostonian international banker for Citibank, I’ve been assured your skin was, at one time, much darker than mine. And though you were reared in upscale Massachusetts prep schools and Ivy League colleges, that you practically sweat tequila.

Not as hispanic as Bill Richardson
Tequiza: Not as hispanic as Bill Richardson.

Welcome to America, Bill. To us, you are so much more than the Tequiza of Hispanic Presidential Candidates. May your skin color be your armor and your lapsed Catholicism be your sword on the way to out-minoritying Barack Obama for the VP Slot winning the Presidency on your merits.

Bill Richardson as the Democratic nominee in ’08! Instead of your snarky commentary Smantix, you should be promoting this FANTASTIC Candidate for the presidency!

Imagine…it’s October of ’08…and out comes that video footage of him yelling “Viva La Raza”. That combined with the inevitable October surprise on whoever the Republicans run, and it’s time for a INSUFFERABLE PRICK in the White House.

As an aside, if Richardson is the Tequiza of Presidential candidates, does that make Obama the Olde English 800? Just askin’…

Or is that out of bounds?

  2. Smantix Says:

I don’t really consider Obama an alcoholic beverage at all. He’s more like a sparkling grape juice in a Champagne bottle. Obama, if anything, is the O’Douls of malt liquor. Many white liberals do seem to find him intoxicating though. Which I chalk up to expectancy disinhibition.

The Hillary/Richardson ticket is my five star lock of the week.

  3. Sharon Cobb Says:

Liberals like Obama because he’s the only liberal running. (Except Kucinich)
Hillary had to jump in yesterday because of all the support Obama is getting from people who supported Bill Clinton, and Hillary was counting on their support. Your enemy George Soros is giving money to Obama, and Hillary had no choice but to try to stop the Obama momentum now.
As far as Richardson, I don’t think he’ll get too far. And someone like Joe Biden, even though he is probably the most experienced candidate and an expert in International relations, stands almost a zero chance of getting the nomination because people are tired of the same ol same ol…on both sides, which is why I think Obama can win.

  4. Cranky Says:

    My bet, Sharon…

The race and gender circus will end and the DNC will choose another white male Patrician.

Early in the primaries, the whole diversity spectrum is represented. By the end, it’s a face off between rich white guys.

The only difference between Dems and Repubs is that we are expecting the RWM from the get go.

  5. Sharon Cobb Says:

    Interesting observation, Cranky,
If we do end up with a white guy, I think it will be John Edwards.(Never underestimate a Clinton, though) As far as the Republicans, I don’t know if Rudy can win the nomination, and I know a lot of Republicans who say they won’t vote for McCain.
I do think if Obama or Clinton don’t win the nomination, one of them will end up in he VP spot.
Who do you favor in this contest?

  6. Gordon Says:

Dems: Edward on his electability, gender and hair.

Reps: Guiliani. This is more of a hope than a prediction. Moderate Republican who was elected in one of the most left-leaning places on earth. No BS approach to getting the job done. Yeah baby.

  7. Billy Says:

I agree with Gordo on Guiliani. I don’t agree with many of Rudy’s social positions, but he is no BS on most of the things I REALLY care about…border security and anti-terrorism.

Were we to get hit with another attack, I fully believe Rudy would hit back three times as hard as George did. Which should have been our response after 9/11.

The Dems have not put forth anyone I would consider voting for. My money is still on Hillary to get the nomination.

  8. Yiddish Steel Says:

    Smantix,

Are you lamenting about the same Bill Richardson that recently came clean about his “draft record”?! http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/11/24/D8E325882.html
The same Bill Richardson that lied about being drafted by the KC A’s in 1966?! The Bill Richardson that is affectionately known in the Latin Cullinary ARts Circle as “Salsa Blanca”?!

  9. Swamp Rabbit Says:

Vote Joe Arpio (sp?),, I know, I know,, he’s from Arizona but close enough.

  10. Right Thinking Girl » Blog Archive » Presidential Race 08 Says:

[...] So far, the Dems have offered up a cornucopia of racial and gender diversity for the Presidential 08 race, but I’ve seen nary a whit of actual substance to come from the Left thus far. Bill Richardson, who is Hispanic and whose primary agenda seems to be withdrawl from Iraq. I’ve found several opinion pieces that tout his support for illegal immigration but canna find even a single first-person mention of any other position. Like his Congressional Democrat cousins who scooped into office while good men did nothing, he’s apparently running on vacuity and his racial cred. But unlike his Congressional cousins, he’s got almost no name recognition, and he’s not nearly as charming as Barak Hussein Obama. [...]
