Kids have a difficult enough time fending off the neighborhood sex pervert on the corner, making their way through the day without transfats at lunch, drinking water from a public fountain and not a store-bought bottle, worrying about whose going to get Anna Nicole’s millions and why Brittany shaved her head. They are told they are too fat and lazy while at the same time being given Ritalin for being too hyperactive. They can’t go trick-or-treating at Halloween because no one knows their neighbors (and worse no one wants to know them).

What a world.

ps. When I was growing up we had “duck-and-cover” drills ’cause the good ‘ole USSR was gonna deliver the nukes from Cuba any second now. BTW disco cds make some fine skeet shootin’.

Found this over at ABP. Anyone think "REAL" Scientists might burn this guy at the stake for heresy? I mean, just as Al Gore and Co. predicted, wasn't last summer the worst for hurricanes ever?

This is a post about GLOBAL WARMING you unenlightened morons.

I do my part. For Halloween I dress up like a thermometer and scare the hell out of the kids in my neighborhood…especially the ones who play soccer and whose moms drive gas-guzzling minivans.

During the rest of the year I like to put on my Al Gore mask and knock on kids’ windows in the middle of the night.

If their parents aren’t going educate their children about how they have no future, I will.

Ain’t going to Cranky’s house tho’. His daughter scares ME.

Well, I NEVER played disco out of the ’65 El Camino. That ride was ALL rock and roll…

Disco was what AM radio was playing when I was in Junior High. So I own some of it (Donna Summer, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kool and the Gang, Saturday Night Fever, etc.).

But then Sanyo added an FM Band to a portable radio and 91X was born. And my world changed.

When I was a child, I thought and spoke as a child. Unfortunately, when I became a man, I didn’t throw away all those childish things.

Great link, dsmith. You’re absolutely right. I tell my children that as long as there has been people, there has been some wild-eyed prophet of doom convincing them that the gods are angry. In this age Gore fits the bill to a tee.

Yeah, Disco just about did us in. No argument there. In fact, Disco might be the definitive answer to “Why do they hate us?”

Kids Can’t Sleep Thinking of Global Warming

In the article, kids are having a hard time coming to grips with the full on panic attacks of the media and global warming. They blame politicians and their parents for not doing enough. I’m curious, would there ever be a time when kids would be told to turn their parents in if they don’t recycle, if they drive an SUV, use air conditioning, etc?

But these poor kids are just getting played. Will they realize 20 years from now when the earth is fine and they are still here? Will they look back and know they had been played?

When I was a kid, we had REAL issues that gave us nightmares. Jimmy Carter. The Iran Hostages. Disco. Jimmy Carter.

But global warming?
