I wonder if one of the 51 things that TIME suggests involves purchasing carbon offsets to plant trees. It seems people have overlooked the fact that Global Warming is causing a huge amount of arctic forrestation as the permafrost melts across the tundra. The solution is simple: don’t do anything. Global Warming pays for itself.

Of those “51 Things…” to do list, I hope one of them includes not purchasing the super-sized, “double issue” which uses twice the wood pulp and double the petroleum-based, four-color processing ink. If I’m doing my math right, that’s a four-fold environmental violation… enough carbon offsets to cool Gore’s living and dining room and power the internets connected to his library.

So, for the children and tuxedo-clad, polar bear morsels, waste TIME. Well don’t read it anyways.
