Hamline is a private college that costs 25K/yr or whatever, so for the diversity numbers and the cover of the school brochures, they have to give out some minority scholarships. It’s a private college, so they can give out money to whomever they want, but, giving a full-ride scholarship to people from other countries who don’t wish to work in the US seems a little odd. College students consistently rate “diversity” as a good/positive quality for schools, and I just laugh because no employer looks at someone’s college and says…”Oh, Hamline…that’s a really diverse school—you’re IN!” Only academians care about diversity; everyone else should care about the quality of the professors, their expertise and the overall reputation of the program you’re there for.

Feisty – Hamline sounds a lot like TSU. TSU offers those “minority” scholarships out like penny gumballs because with the lack of delivery boys, there isn’t enough diversity of crime victim on campus.

You’re so cute, Preston, talking about the school down the street from me.

The area that Hamline is in is quite scary about 3 blocks in any direction. The area is known as “crack corridor” and things like that. It’s where you go as a beginning hooker to get your start.

In the full article, he also shuns the campus for giving African students free education even though they plan on returning to Africa. The irony here is that schools, of course, don’t think diversity of OPINION is true diversity.

For the uninitiated, both the newspaper service and almost any kind of food delivery service refuses to go on the TSU campus because they stand such a great risk of getting robbed or killed as was the case with a Chinese delivery man a year or so ago. A school that implores white students to enroll on a minority scholarship.

On the bright side, you can beat on a trash can and Stomp! to your hearts content. Alpha Phi Alpha, yo.

It just occurred to me that you can’t spell “therapist” without “rapist”.

They seem to be afflicted by the same Group of 88 syndrome.
