More Do-As-I-Say From The Donks
May 21st, 2007 at 8:57 am by Preston Taylor HolmesFile under sweet justice.
Bedwetting Commifornia state lawmaker Carole Migden rear-ends another driver while reaching for her cell phone. Irony component: Carole has been leading the fight for banning cell phone use in cars.
To her credit, at least she was following Standard Liberal Operating Procedure (S.L.O.P.): Pass overly-intrusive, freedom-robbing laws, then completely ignore them because you’re above the law.
Migden, D-San Francisco, was traveling eastbound on the highway at Beck Avenue when she failed to notice traffic stopping for a red light at around 10:40 a.m., according to CHP Officer M.A. Williford.
Migden’s 2007 Toyota Highlander then collided into the rear of a 2005 Honda sedan.
Migden was apparently reaching for her ringing cell phone just before she hit the sedan, the senator’s office said in a statement.
I hope she gets her ass sued off. One good thing about the crash (besides exposing even more pinko hypocrisy) is that she was on her way to a meeting, where she was undoubtedly going to conspire to pass more freedom-robbing laws on the Commifornia proletariat. And – surprise – no citations were issued, despite Migden’s inability to follow the rules of the road.
The whole thing was probably a work to prove how badly a cell phone ban is needed. Very sneaky, sis.

Bluto from the Jawas has this post which shows Midgen with her driving glasses on.
Scary. Who knows if the cellphone was even a factor here. This broad probably rear-ends a car a week…

“S.L.O.P.” Classic! The next time I am thinking of how sloppy I am, I’ll think of you.
Er–that came out wrong. I love your acronym and I’ll be thinking of how it applies to me.
Something like that (It’s a compliment)

No offense guys but when I hear “rear ended somebody in San Francisco”, the first thing that came to my mind wasn’t Ms. Midget doing the bumper to bumper boogie with a motor vehicle.
To her credit, the Toyota Highland is a hybrid. To our detriment, it would be nice to hear how much it’s going to cost to repair said hybrid.

OK…I am never reading the Buffet at work again. I just had two co-workers walk into my office wondering why I am laughing and crying hysterically…

That’s the joy of working the Buffet. To write for a site you can’t read at work.

I think you’d like the way I play “Do-as-I-say” a lot better, Preston.
