Finally Understanding Air America
July 14th, 2007 at 9:08 pm by CrankyIt’s crap. Really, there is not much else to add. Here is their “interview” with Jackie Mason. I could only stomach about 50% of the clip.
Their shock jock, Cenk Uygur makes Sean Hannity’s fillibustering style look like a parliamentary procedure debate. Listen as Cenk browbeats Jackie Mason. The red-meat factor must play well with the misanthropes of the Democratic Underground.
Compare this to Dennis Miller or even Jon Stewart when they have somebody they don’t like politically. Honestly, whether it is Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity or this Cenk chucklehead, the act of bringing a guest just to scold him is completely worthless except perhaps to let the audience beat that person up by proxy.
It is just uncomfortable. And Air America can perish as soon as it’s convenient.

AAAACCCKKKK! You linked me to Air America! There’s a strange oozing and smoke coming out of my laptop.
Don’t ever do that again…

Actually, it has been convenient for some time now. Perhaps Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo should feel free to perish with it. It is also quite acceptable if Michael Moore joins the party.

I listen to all kinds of people I don’t agree with – provided they are original. What I can’t stand is when it sounds like a script is running in the background (i.e., Hannity – “Reagan defeated the Evil Empire…”, generic leftard nutter – “the hardcore 26% bush supporter”/”Right Wing Noise Machine”).
Come up with your own material instead of this trite polemic plagiarism.
I always liked to read Jackie Mason’s column at the American Spectator but had to give it up since they refused my ultimatum to fire Doug Bandow.
