Twisted Nostalgia

August 24th, 2007 at 9:31 am by Cranky

Here’s a geeked-out 90s look at an 80s phenomenon in honor of Van Halen’s reunion tour.

Ten years ago, this would have hit a little too close to home.

All I have to say is that Sammy Haggar rocked, and David Lee Roth is…well..teh ghey.

  2. Gordon Says:

Funny thing is I loved Van Halen and I saw Hagar in concert about five times. After Hagar joined Van Halen, I liked neither.

  3. Nigel Says:

I woke up this morning with Van Hagar’s Black and Blue in my head and had to crank that bitch up to 11…

Can we please, please turn this into a Van Halen tubing thread? Please? Can we get permission from the boss man?

    Nope.

    No subliminal plugs allowed, Nigel.

Very funny Unabrewer! Sadly not entirely true.

    It worked on you, Cranky.

I am not a Van Halen/Van Hagar elitist. I enjoy the music of both incarnations. So all you DLR vs. Sammy peeps are just polarizing Van Halen Nation. Knock it off and let’s be a united Van Halen Nation.

Cranky, if you are not going to step up and announce a Van Halen tubing thread, then I am just going to hijack the thread. Let’s Tube…we haven’t in quite a while.

My favorite Van Halen song. Of course the studio version is better than this live version DLR tried to rush through…

  7. Cranky Says:

My bad, Nigel. Please feel free to Tube away. I don’t think many other bands took advantage of MTV quite like VH and later DLR did.
