This post should go along with your "America - the most gunned up country" post. Anyone forcing me, or anyone in my family, into some daggummed tests is going to need more than a doctor.

It’s been 4 years since I’ve been to the doctor, because honestly, nothing is wrong with me! If there is something wrong, my body will tell me eventually, but until then I don’t know it and I feel fine.

I appreciate those that go for yearly check-ups because yes, they do save lives. But honestly, when I did go for yearly checkups, it seemed they always had to put me on some kind of medication that I know I didn’t need. Who’s to say this won’t get worse when these doctors are bilking the government, not just private insurance companies? Doctors don’t know what the hell they are doing. It’s simply a process of elimination for them. And they will put you through hell until they do finally figure out what’s wrong with you. By then, your symptoms are usually gone.

I won’t let my own mother force me to go to the doctor, why would I let John “Pretty Boy” Edwards force me?

And these liberals call Bush a “fascist”?

Tiny E, I hope you don't mind my embellishing your excellent first post with the graphic. When it comes whoring off of another's popularity, well guilty as charged.

I wonder what the government health policies would be towards smokers, or people who eat too much fat, sugar, cholesterol etc., the mentally ill, the unborn who have tested for risks of birth defects? Would there be talk about the burden of these kinds of problems on greater society? The prospect of far reaching government controlled healthcare is truly terrifying.
