Bluegrass Van Halen
September 23rd, 2007 at 6:55 pm by CrankyTell me how long it takes you to recognize the redneck covering Van Halen’s Jump.
Courtesy of Jay at Stop the ACLU. Who, besides tirelessly working to stop the ACLU’s destructive agenda, also has a knack for cool music.

It took me about 5 seconds after I threw up in my mouth…
(but that could have been the Chargers choke job)

But anyway. We can’t get our youth back, but if I could wish it for anyone (besides myself of course)I might just consider David Lee Roth. He was a musical athlete who knew how to make the most of a stage.

Did someone say Musical Youth?

Interesting version of “jump”. DLR is looking kind of creepy these days though with that “Carol Channing Permanent Cocaine Induced Smile”…His jaws must ache constantly

…and I just watched The Wedding Singer…

BTW that Aztec Camera version of Jump is nice.

Maybe I’m getting old, but I’m liking the Hayseed version Walk This Way more than the original.
TimZ. Ouch!
September 24th, 2007 at 9:47 am
Gordon, that version of Walk This Way is awesome….
On DLR, I’ve been a huge fan, Like Michele sez, he was a musical athlete that could really work a stage, I’ve seen him perform with VH & solo with Steve Vai, he puts on a hell of a show…I just can’t bear to watch him grind his teeth and smile like he just sucked a 1/4 oz up his shnoz…

I don’t know if anyone saw this earlier (because nobody reads my blog anyway, but perhaps they saw it on LGF), but here is an interesting twist on Skynyrd’s Sweet Home Alabama…
September 24th, 2007 at 11:46 am
Tim, he looks a bit like the Rev. Jim Baker doesn’t he?
September 24th, 2007 at 12:04 pm
Yeah! No one bothers to read my blog either, Nigel. All they ever do is keep gorging at the troft at 6MB.
In case you don’t think that DLR is in perforing shape, I have some news for you naysayers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AYGUtM3WMo
And that’s just rehearsal. Just wait ’til it’s on fo’ real, like right here in San Diego, come November 25th!

I don’t know you RR, but I hate you.
September 25th, 2007 at 10:45 am
Why are we letting RR’s comments through? I don’t need to see that kind of garbage…
