Per Nigel, he’s already at Qualcomm Stadium volunteering so he should be pretty safe until the Colts show up on November 11th.

Thanks guys…I have a new post up…
My home is still out of the path…for now. The evacuations continue all the way to the beach communities of Del Mar and Torrey Pines however…
Yiddish should have evacuated as a precaution, but for now his part of town has not yet caught fire. The danger comes in the evening when the winds kick up.
Hey Brian, FYI, the Chargers have relocated to Arizona. It is not looking good for a football game here on Sunday.

Thankfully, I am well clear of any fire activity. However, the smoke can be seen all around and the scent in the air is a constant reminder that others are going through hell.
Hang in there guys.

That’s good news on two fronts. Nigel’s house is okay and Arizona just got a professional football team.

Dude fellas, that sucks. Take care, and hope you get lucky and avoid the worst of it all.

Hey all…new post. Not much to add. Tired.
Yiddish is fine. They lifted the evacuation order on his ‘hood this evening.

Tiny, glad you are OK…

Everything is fine over here. My shack didn’t catch fire, my kids are safe (thanks to their mother hijacking them to LA to stay with her sister), and I still have a job. I’m just flat-out fire fatigued. Many here at work are starting to return today. No one has reported any fire damage to their house, but nearly all here have been evacuated over the past 3 days. Most evacuation orders are starting to be lifted. I just feel bad for all those that lost their homes, and there are many. The local news is under-reporting the numbers in my opinion. I’m sure there are far more than just 1200 homes destroyed by fire.

Thanks for all of your thoughts, guys. I am done at the “Q”, but now the relief effort begins. I’ll be checking in at my blog and will comment over here periodically about the on-going efforts.
If any of you 6mb regulars wish to help, go to the American Red Cross of San Diego’s website and donate. I’d link, but I’m tired and besides…6Mbers are mentally obese enough to find it…
