Monday Night Oprah

November 19th, 2007 at 10:40 pm by Brian

Titans vs. Broncos @ Tampax Stadium at Mile-High.

Can everyone on Monday Night Football get fired? Preferably yesterday. I just listened to a 10 minute exposition by Tony Kornholer and the woman announcer about how Vince Young’s father was in and out of prison all his life and the emotional scarring he endures to this day. That other kids’ dads would visit them in the locker room but Vince would go around shaking their hands because his dad couldn’t make it and that one day they hope to overcome their differences.

What are you woman, his parole officer? His social worker?

It’s Monday Night Football, not Monday Night Oprah, bitches.

I never thought I’d say this but where is Joe Theismann now that I finally need him?

****************

And Travis Henry likes the whacky-tabacky. But Mike Shanahan stood by him in court through it all. Never look at the positive Oprahphiles. Travis Henry is the greatest argument against the idea that marijuana causes low sperm count.

****************

Chick techno music going into the commercial break. WTF? Dandy Don Meredith is rolling in his grave.

**************

MILE HIGH MIRACLE! Vince Young decides that in spite of his father’s inability to be a good parent and the complete inability of his receivers to catch the balls (that are pelting them in the face) that HE MUST carry the team on his back into the endzone. Ref says he stepped out before he crossed the pylon.

Mike Tirico affirmative actions Vince 5 and a half points. But, a Denver linebacker called time out before the Affirmative Action got off. Fisher reviews the play and Vince got 7 on his own without experiencing the soft bigotry of low expectations.

***************

3 minutes and some change left in the 4th and down 14 points. On second thought the MNF “my other penis is a vagina” color crew should start telling us about how Vince didn’t get to go to the state fair when he was 12 because his father was banned after hotwiring a bumper car. And then add 15 points to the scoreboard. And one timeout.

Kornheiser is a moron, one the worst, what I would give to get Paul Maquire back in there.

This is the liberal mantra, Vince Young is a victim. It is not so noticable in Sports media but ther are just as many liberals in sports as there are in the msm.

Remember the Donnovan McNab flap on espn when Rush was there for a short time, a few weeks ago these self proclaimed crock of experts rehashed the whold sordid mess, and of course McNab was the ‘victim’ being picked on by that Right-wing nut Rush limbaugh.

I am surprised these sports types have not mounted a campaign to save Michael Vick’s career after all what a talent to waste, when it, afterall, wasn’t his fault.

The PC police strike again. Truth and facts are mere ploys by the Right to muddy the lefts water in their pursuit of the turth as they see it through their jaundiced eyes.

I just got in and see that we’re getting or nutz crunched. Although, with that last Six, all hope is not lost.

BMac, put this on your fall calendar. I might even drive down to Nashville and join you if you can pull some strings and get us in.

  3. Brian McMurphy Says:

I’ll see what I can do. You know that sometimes I show up at these little events just for the sheer lunacy of where I will wind up.

Hey guys…I’ll be there. Maybe we can all sit together…

  5. Nigel Says:

I cannot STAND Kornholer. Bring back Dennis Miller. Too bad most of Miller’s references were too esoteric for the average football fan to understand, but at least he didn’t annoy us to death…

Actually I have a better idea. Let’s exhume Cosell and bring Dandy Don back from the retirement home. It was never better…

They sounded like a bunch of menopausal gaywads sitting on the sofa gossiping about the poor, poor victims in the NFL! As a sissy little girl, even I was disgusted!

Let’s get Madden in there. Yeah, he’s a drunk and totally off his rocker telling you everything you already know, but at least he is a MAN!

    Sheesh!

  7. Rustmeister Says:

We should rename the league to the MFL – Metrosexual Football League.

Notice how they don’t replay good hits and penalties very often?

It was AWFUL. I could not stand the drivel. Why could they not discuss the game being played? And please don’t compare these men to women. That is really an insult.

  10. Brian McMurphy Says:

I couldn’t find any good pictures or I was going to Photoshop the girls from The View over the Monday Night Football background. Live from Stayfree Stadium at Mile High.

There’s too much buddy-buddyism in the box. Get two people who can’t stand each other and pay them to say whatever is on their mind without cussing = ratings.
