I'm a non-practicing atheist. The modern day allegedly Christian church's tolerance of intolerance is a moral abdication. They believe more in diversity and peace-at-any-price than their own god and that is an apostasy. Williams' comments in the UK Times were annoying but that Time article from several months ago was the impetus for this post. Smash the false idols I say but that's just the ignorant, typical American iconoclast in me. Same goes for Benedict. I'd rather be a typical American than licking the boot heel of heresy.
