I take a decidedly tough on crime stance when it comes to issues like this, as our archives would attest, and I would be even less sympathetic considering this kid appears to be your run-of-the-mill leftist "innocent abroad" railroaded by the simple, diverse culture he embraced over his own. Neither the guilty go free, or the innocent be made to suffer though. If you've got a good link throw it in to the ring. Lot's of I can't explains and the main exculpatory evidence he offered in the interview was the fact that he was talking on his cellphone with somebody and he had told them he was in Managua (at least I think that is where he said he was). I will see if I can find the link for the interview for you.
