Where You At?

December 12th, 2007 at 11:29 pm by Preston Taylor Holmes

We took a trip down to murderville Nashville last weekend for a quick family Christmas trip. We confined our travels to the Opryland area. After the jump, a photo album of sorts.

This tree chick on stilts knew how to work it.
Made me want poison ivy.

Preston Jr. hanging with his horse homies.

Lights, lights everywhere.

The fountain/lights show was pretty cool. Kids dug it.

We saw one of Gleen’s sockpuppets.

We saw the Greeench made entirely of ice.

The frozen Greench steals from the icebox.

Little Cindy Lou with frozen Cindy Lou Who.

It was a fun way to get in the holiday spirit – especially for the kids – if you’re in the area, it’s worth the trip at Christmastime.

That is really cool. Is his an annual tradition? I want my eye blackout bars back, tho.

  2. Laurie Kendrick Says:

Yessir, this is cool. We don’t got nothing like that in Texas. I’d love to be able to chisel part of the Greeeeench’s frozen arm and plop a little of him into my Scotch. That would be cool.

I love the incognito aspect of the black out bars. Very cool, as well. At first, I thought your kids had the latest in German sunglass wear.

    Happy Advent or some shit,
    LK

  3. Preston Taylor Holmes Says:

Cranky, your blackout bars are in the mail. And it’s the first time we’ve been, but the kids had such a good time that we may make it an annual jaunt.

Same to you, Laurie, from your favorite rebel flag waving southern redneck.

  4. michele Says:

That looks fun! My folks have moved near Nashville and keep telling me we have to go see it. Guess I might have to make the trip.

I like Jr’s. cool pose. My kids would have been scared to death of those horse people. They scare me a bit.

  5. TinyElvis Says:

    The horse-people are pretty freaky.

Really? I thought Jr. was posing with Hilary Swank and Sarah Silverman.

  7. michele Says:

I thought one of them was Sara Jessica Parker.

  8. Laurie Kendrick Says:

You’re both wrong. Jr is standing by the horses are both holiday effigies of John Kerry.

    Dimmocrats…equine ass.

  9. Brian Says:

The Gleen Sockpuppet looks like Domino’s The Noid at an S & M party.
