Now Donna, I’d like to think I’ve sent a few people running to their therapists over the years.

Or toward the Pacific. In a chain reaction, of course.

Oh well. I do think most blog comment sections are snakepits and some bloggers are are brats, if not snakes, but I don’t see that any of it is worth losing one’s calm over. Why cede someone that power over you? The naturally sarcastic have an easier trip through the Sarcastic Sea of blogdom, I guess. And the guys don’t seem to mind the slings and arrows as much as the women do. The outright liars are another story. But that can be countered, usually.

Do your own thing and don’t let the critics get you down. It ain’t worth it. Whatever the critics are criticizing about you is quite often the very thing about you worth keeping and developing. The thing that sets you apart from everyone else. I learned that when I began writing unconventional fiction.

Chargers beat the Titans 17-6. Now the boys at Six Meat Buffet owe me a tribute on their site to the Chargers for the next week. I’m waiting…(not to worry…they’re not the type to renege).

I went over there and read that, and I have to say that the commenter posting as “Claudia” has the common-sense view, in my opinion. Paraphrasing: If you can’t stand the fat popping off the bacon you’re frying, go vegan and/or get out of the kitchen (we’ve seen that) — and, if you’re letting a blog commenter devastate you, you have issues that need addressing elsewhere, perhaps in a clinical setting.
