Look, if President Hernandez believes in small government and has a zero-tolerance for Islamist violence, then I welcome our Hispanic overlords.
Sadly, it won’t go that way. Our Republicans love the cheap labor and the Democrats want a large identity voting bloc.
But immigration is going to be a fact of life and one that we can work to make a net benefit for our country. If our leaders take secure borders and assimilation programs seriously, this upcoming wave of immigration could be as beneficial as the Irish, Italian and Jewish waves of the past.
