A Nice Tribute to an Underrated Film

February 20th, 2008 at 9:29 am by Cranky

Anyone remember Dark City?

Dark City was a “thinky” science fiction thrilled done in a very noir style.

It died in the shadow of the Matrix. Agent Bedhead has a very insightful analysis of this cult film.

this is one of my favorites. In fact, it’s my wife’s favorite cult film, I think. Any time it shows up on cable, she watches it. In the middle, toward the end . . . hey! If it just started, well, that’s a real treat!

So, I think I better find it on DVD. That way she can watch it any time she wants. And, it is a superior film. With a happy ending! And, Jennifer Connelly! YUM!!!!

I was wondering if anybody actually watch this flick. I thought it was great, better than The Matrix. The Matrix was hampered with Keanu Reeves. How does that douchebag get acting jobs?

That is how I felt when I read the review, weasal. You mean someone else thought it was better than the Matrix!

Don, that’s right. Connelly was in that one too. This, Mullholland Falls and A Brilliant Mind put her on the map for me.
