The Audacity of Joke
April 5th, 2008 at 7:37 pm by BrianToday’s enlightened quote of the day is memorable on several fronts. It’s belligerent racism, it’s sense of entitlement, and the fact that Democrats will remain largely silent about it. That and that I’m breathing a sigh of relief that Bob Corker kept the thugs of the Ford Crime Family at bay during Harold’s senate run. We’re not in Bleeding Kansas any more:
Jake Ford suggested that incumbent U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen is unable to represent the district because Cohen is white and the majority of the district’s residents are black.
Jake Ford also accused Cohen, who is Jewish, of supporting reparations for Holocaust survivors but not for African-American descendants of slaves.
“He’s just not for the money for blacks,” Jake Ford said. “He is for Jews, but not for blacks.”
As if we need to step out onto the trembling limb of Joke Ford’s 6th grade treehouse of logic, we can bet our piggy banks that 51% of Memphis’ voters are nodding their heads in agreement with him. They’d have to based on his brother’s follow-up response:
As if Jake Ford’s own words weren’t delivered with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, Isaac Ford neatly summarized his brother’s talking points before leaving the Shelby County Election Commission headquarters.
“Jake Ford is a black candidate, it’s a black district and we need black representation,” Isaac Ford told our reporter. “Say that Isaac Ford said that.”
Isaac Ford said “Joke Ford is a black candidate, it’s a black district and we need black representation”.
I don’t think David Duke or Geraldine Ferraro* could have said it better.
Joke Ford – You win the 6MB Quote-Of-The-Day! Although we don’t support reparations, we hope you’ll accept this honor ,if for no other reason, because it’s something you can take from Whitey to make you feel better about being born into a rich, multi-generational, graft-ridden, racist shakedown operation of a family.

Ah but Mr. Ford clings to those black values and traditions that Osama likes to cite so often in places like San Francisco.
