Regardless, Workman was still responsible for robbing the store and taking part in the gunfight that led to the officer's death. When Bredesen let his execution go through, it was obvious that he did exercise his gubernatorial mandate because he did not want to be portrayed as soft on copkillers. Having said that, the media - both TV and print in Tennessee, are intentionally lying about Paul House. The cover of this week's Nashville Scene says that DNA evidence shows that House did not commit the murder of Carolyn Muncey and it is nothing short of a bold-faced lie. A lie that their soon to be outgoing editor let stand because it suited the anti-death penalty stance of their paper. Liars they remain. Interview Muncey's daughter. When an individual is released from prison because DNA evidence or like of exonerates them the press treats it like they were some poor innocent soul snatched off the street and wrongly thrown in prison. The truth is that most of these "poor souls" had a rap sheet as thick as a phone directory and should have been in prison anyway.
