Oh I agree w/ you guys, don't get me wrong. Never did I see such a load of pansies afraid to piss anyone off by standing up for what they (supposedly) believed in. My question was mostly rhetorical and due to utter disgust.

Vacation? Oh hey, yeah, thanks. Overall it was a good vacation. Few hiccups along the way - no car, memorial for my mom, and a cold - but it was nice to see the NW and see the family again - all of them, judging by the size of the crowd. Never ate so much BBQ'd pork in my life. Oooooh-yeah.

LK, I have to agree with Brian. Our Republican friends aren't serious. It's easy to make noise when you can't affect any meaningful change.

It reminds me of the neighbor's dog when I was growing up.

When there was a fence between our yards, the dog would terrify me barking and gnawing at the fence as if to say, "I'm gonna shred you like this flimsy piece of wood when I get through."

Then came the day that the gate was left open, I was expecting Judgment Day. Bear had different plans; he just cowered on his porch.

p.s. Welcome back from your vacation.

I'm old enough to realize that Republicans are only entertaining when they are in the minority.

When they've got the majority, they blow their political wad over Terry Schiavo.

Crank, I just want to scream.

I blogged and warred a bit with a gal from the South Dakota Union County Eco-minions Against Energy Especially Hyperion Organization (SDUCEAEEHO) a while back about the same topic, that results wouldn't be seen immediately.

Well, so you wait four years after doing nothing, and you STILL won't see results for another four years. What then?

Malkin pulled a good quote from Chesty Puller: "Hit hard, hit fast, and hit often". It has worked many a time on the playground (and other places) for me, so why can't it work in politics? WHAT are the real conservatives in congress thinking of?

Ah, don't mind me. I'm just getting old.
