And there's ways to rebuff the nutters without making your opponent sound like a saint.

There are a couple of other local races that I will be voting on. Currently, President isn't one of them. I need to see something before November. I don't need someone pandering - I need to seem some fight and some integrity.

I know, I know ... McCain campaigns against McCain now ("Obama is a decent family man") to even it out. Why? Because McCain realized McCain is the Republican nominee. I saw some of the full flower of the rally. One lady was saying Obama was an Arab. McCain needed to say something in response to rein people in, but he want too far.

Here's the point, though, "my friends". McCain will go too far in campaigns. Obama will go way too far (with his Demo Congress as Gordo points out) in <em>governing</em>.

If I was an Obamatard, I would be running commercials in those battleground states where the Maverick Renegade is running his most negative ads playing his own words back to him.

<i>Barack Obama hangs out with Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright, he supports tossing babies that survived abortions into a closet to die, he doesn't believe you have a right to own a gun, he wants to tell you what temperature to set your thermostat, how much you can eat, he sues people who make comments against him in private, he sends the secret service after people who hang-up on his Obama-Jugend telemarketers, his Harvard education was bankrolled by an Anti-American nutbar, he helped coach a Kenyan dictator on how to put down an insurrection, he tried to turn the Iraqi government against the USA, and is partly responsible for the collapse of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae..."</i>

But "Barack Obama is a decent, family man that I disagree with on many issues and you have nothing to fear from President Obama".

I'm John McCain and I approve this message, my friends.

BMac, when you've failed in the Senate for so long, why should we expect anything but failure on the campaign trail? I'm glad his crowds are showing our collective displeasure.

With some campaigns, they might see it as a sign to change course. With the Maverick, we'll see him get his back up and get even more stubborn, resulting, which means FAIL.

We're all crying into our pot roast here at the Buffet DC.

But for my part, McWhatever gets my vote because a dem congress + pres will make the Carter years seem golden by comparison.

Brian ... c'mon. I am going to hold fire on McCain b/c the enemy of my enemy is ... you know. I have made the same arguments, but the time to make those is past. The alternative is Pres. Obama and a Demo-led congress. There is no logical, conservative reason to do this (other than you like to watch your house burn down whilst dreaming of what joys may spring from it). Only God can ordain such catastrophes and know how we can get out of it.

Unabrewer, nice name, but ... I will grant you that though you might not be able to understand the multiple points I was making in Reason #25, you are at least proficient at lame takes. So, I will give your comment due consideration.

Geez, Crank, you need to get these boys around here a sense of humor and some onions, man.

The Dole campaign is a comparison I've been making. The Dems like their guy; the Repubs don't really like their guy but it was his turn.

As far as Daisy Cutter's first reason...it's not off to a great start. I realize we're talking about #25, but if the reasons are that bad, I'd have started at #3. Nothing personal.
