I swear, I ask you this sincerely.
Simply examining what Barack Obama has actually done versus his messianic rhetoric and outrageous promises creates a disconnect that warps the space-time continuum.
American Spectator sums it up perfectly. Not a McCain fan, Quin Hillyer explains why the vote must be cast for McCain if only to keep Obama out of office.
To be fully honest, it would go to some lengths to explain that the best reason to vote for John McCain is probably that it would keep Barack Obama from being president — because Obama is a radical with very few real achievements, incredibly thin experience, and no record of having been tested in a crisis. Starting from when he was 12 years old and was mentored by an openly Communist poet, continuing through his days at Columbia (the same time terrorist William Ayers was there), his long and extensive associations with Ayers and with PLO apologist whatshisame Khalidi and with hate-spewing clergymen Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger and with the corrupt organization ACORN and apparently with thuggish Marxist Kenyan leader Raila Odinga and with convicted political fixer/felon Tony Rezko, Obama has deliberately and repeatedly associated with people who express contempt for America or for the mainstream of American thought. And Obama’s outrageous opposition to the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act shows him not just to be “pro-choice,” but to be the most radically and indeed brutally pro-abortion presidential nominee in history. And don’t even think about his view on how judges should be more concerned with “empathy” and with helping the “outcast” than with actually applying the words of the laws or the Constitution….
What convinces you that his Chicago politics including getting elected by disqualifying his candidates and working against a reform candidate in favor of the business as usual crowd won’t feature in his new kind of politics?
What about his current tactics of trying to silence dissent?
How about going back on his public finance pledge?
Most importantly, what about his very liberal voting record leads you to believe he will be even slightly moderate?
Does any of this phase a liberal-leaning person or cause him to think that Obama won’t bring about a glorious new America?
If you’re an Obama supporter, I welcome your comments. Only stupid or profane comments will be deleted.

Listen, bottom line is this:
I’m sick and tired of only being able to afford 4 day vacations and not the full 7 days I’m entitled to. I’m sick and tired of not having enough money to be able to fly to my destinations and have to wait while I save up my frequent-flyer miles; only to be forced to fly COACH. I’m sick and tired of only being able to take my family to the Texas Road House restaurant once a week and not some place fancier.
My kids don’t have their own laptops. They don’t each have their own Nintendo DS’s. They don’t even have their own cell phone for cryin’ out loud!
It’s time for change, people. It’s time for change.

Oh. So now you’re watching Zoolander.

Haven’t you ever loved a movie for one scene? Thanks to Ferrell, Zoolander has earned a place on my DVD rack.

A rose-parade-float of an impassioned imp lee to have a brain, if not a heart. ‘Wizard…’ fans are proud of you…

I plan to do a shot for every state Obama wins until I pass out. That way I’ll be wasted no matter who wins, and it will dull the pain either way.

I’ll drink to that. But not out of my tiny bottles, I’ll bring the 750 ml.

Let’s all look at it this way.
Chicago is the murder capitol of the U.S. now. Another IL politician was indicted this last thursday. The governor’s pal (Rezko) has been handed guilty verdicts. (he suppossedly also helped Obama get a sweetheart deal on property)
I would think that anyone who would want to change the country, would want to change what happens at home first. This would show he was serious about change.
But as it stands, I would have to think long and hard about change come Nov 4th.

Look, it’s simple:
I’m voting for Barack because black people are owed reparations and whatever else the politicians might think of to give us because of five hundred years of slavery and Jim Crow. And if a black man is president, he’ll probably think up a lot more ways to pay them back. If you don’t like it, it means you’re a racist and you there’s no place for you in this country.
I’m voting for Barack because he’ll spread the wealth around. “From each according to his ability to each according to his need.” If you don’t like it, you might be selfish, and you have no place in this country or its politics.
I’m voting for Barack because he’ll make it possible for everyone to exercise their right to go to college. AND he’ll defend academic freedom and academic standards. But I wouldn’t expect anyone here to understand that. People like you have been holding the children back for too many years, with your selfishness and your ignorance. You just lost your place at the table.
Barack will have the government pay for everyone’s health care. Finally, no one will have to suffer and die because of their inability to pay. Finally, the people will be able to get the care they need without the input of selfish rich people.
Barack is going to repair the image of this country with the world. No more cowboy presidents. No more blood for oil. No more stupid, uneducated foreign policy, and no more wars! Ignorant warmongers will no longer be tolerated!
