People Suck Pt. XVIII

December 6th, 2008 at 6:01 pm by Cranky

Some people are just not worthy of democracy. People fortunate enough to be born into a society that includes the right to select their leaders, rule of law, the right to property and freedom of expression, should understand where they are in history and be grateful.

Instead, they produce stuff like this.

What is it about us? If you think starving subsistence people are miserable, look at their overfed counterparts in the West. They don’t want religion, but they do want a messiah. They claim that they want democracy but yearn for a benevolent king.

Ok, ok, I think I’m done drunkblogging.

Fear not brother, I believe that the artist is in fact a conservative, and the “Velvet Obama” is satirical.

So you may go on drunkblogging with reckless abandon. Lord knows that I will.

    Thanks Marcus.

It is not as bad as you think! As Churchill once said,” Democracy is the worst of all governments, except for the rest.” Democratic forms of government tend to muddle through history. Democracies couldn’t agree to outlaw slavery, stop WWI or WWII, won by default the Cold War, were slow to intervene in the Balkins, etc., but they survived to have people complain about them. That is why I love democracy: I can never be truly right or totally wrong.

As Lady Thatcher said, “Europe was created by hitory; America was created by philosopy.” Not to shabby for a large group of people that live in a place where they shouldn’t be, that have no sense of history, possess no real command of the English language, and are considered terrible philosophers by the rest of the world.

By the way, I don’t consider Americans “mutts” but strong hybreds! The US is the OPEC of knowledge!
